Nexon essential gave me the finger

Despite me putting so much information about account, such as the classes of characters, and the details of the characters I remember the most, they decided not to change my account's e-mail to something I use now because my "information doesn't match" despite I told them I use faked info to make the account like ****** 7 years ago.

Now you guys must be like "The hell are you talking about?". Well I had an account linked to a certain e-mail, a crappy e-mail service as well, mind you. My going into hiatus (almost 3 years now) from MS made me forget my password, so I requested password changes to the account, multiple times, which the said e-mail never received. I sent an e-mail to Nexon requesting a e-mail change, and after an inquisition, they decided not to change my e-mail nor send a proper e-mail to e-mail account in question.

Truthfully, I don't want the account back cuz I wanna play MS or anything, I just want to have access to an account that I spend thousands on. But at the moment, I feel as if Nexon robbed me perhaps several thousand bucks (a big regret at that too, how foolish I was). I am so tempted to write a big ** * to the GM who worked on my ticket, but I can't blame him or her for company policies.

Just wanted to rant, move along if you don't care.

I was hacked because a recent database leak and I owned up to the fake information on my account(which I made almost 10 years ago) and Nexon changed my email for me and got my items/mesos back. I didn't event give them the full birthdate, just the year that I remember putting in.

@hualicious: Yup this is a back up account I made a while back, originally using some of my linked skill characters. My current avatar is my old main.
Anyways, I did ask them to directly send an e-mail to the old account after they refused to change the e-mail account in the NX account. Just gotta wait it out. But in the end, if they refuse, then it is what it is.

@xdwow2: So you requested for an e-mail change. Did you tell them your current e-mail connected to your Nexon account doesn't receive the reset emails? They could confirm for you whether you are looking at the correct or wrong e-mail.

I guess the Basilmarket account you are using now is a new one? I can't find the member days on the phone.

@sadvirgin: I literally just told them, instead of wasting my time, why don't they just do a direct e-mail of a password change to my old account instead of using the automated system, which clearly isn't working. I don't know what it's up with the account though, I asked my friend to send an e-mail to it, and it received just fine, but when I use the password request from the website (both nexon, and basil), it doesn't work. For the record I'm 95% certain the e-mail is right one; even did a register test, and said it was already registered. Anyways, at this point in time, it is what it is, I was just frustrated earlier, but it's not something too important to dwell on, really.

On the side notes, as for the 2 characters, those are my Mercedes and Mech. I'm not sure what I had the Mech for, character card perhaps?. But I know the Mercedes, I used its linked skill to go back to elluel or w.e it's called. The skill should be linked to my Kaiser as well. Anyways, the account has ALOT more characters and quite a few I only trained for linked skills or character cards, meaning no one but I should know about them (no buddies or guildies).

If it makes you feel any better, anything you spent a couple grand on 3 years ago would probably get you about as far as spending 1/3 of that now. Unless you were like way ahead of the times or something.

You could always try Reboot if you want to reach a similar level of funding, won't have to spend any money to do it. Nexon customer support can be pretty hit-and-miss, so when it comes to something like account recovery things usually don't go as you hope.

@xdwow2 For the main character you listed on basil, I'm seeing "FallenxFae", "Techkt", and possibly "#0509955044" as your alternative characters on the same server. That also shows which class those characters are, or at the very least the class group.
It's not always 100% but still a possibility.

And nowadays anyone who is acc buddied with you would know most your characters. I know you've been away for longer than that, but I'm just saying these things are not valid proof of ownership of an account, which is a good thing.

Can't you set up forwarding from the old email acc to the new one and see if that works?

@globalkorean: If you were 12-13 years at the time old looking to play some game to kill time, would you read the TOS? There was nothing funny about what happened, and you just made yourself seemed like an asshole who likes to rub salt of a wound.

And besides I was just ranting to appease my moment of frustration; I can move on, and like I said I could care less about a dying game. Only wanted the account for keepsake anyways.

@sadvirgin: You're right about that, but I don't think knowing what characters are in the account is something someone can easily find out. How would a stranger known per say that this xxxx character and this yyyy character are in the same account? If someone can guess 1 or 2 character it's suspicious, but multiple characters? I highly doubt it. Oh well, it's not like it matters anymore. As for the e-mail thing, honestly I have no idea what happened, there's something shady going on with my old e-mail since the e-mail account's content was wiped out. Literally that said e-mail account is linked to basil (another account obvs), but when I request a password change, nothing pops.

Don't give them crap for protecting your account. You should probably be contacting your email-provider instead and ask why you're not getting mails. Or double check that it's really the email you've linked to your account currently. Or double check that there's nothing in spambox.
You can't really prove that it's your account if you provided false information when you made it, and now don't remember the false info. Things like character classes and other details are so easy to find out even if you don't own an account so that's not much proof.

its funny cause if you maybe read the ToS instead of making a rant thread or say crap to Nexon, cause it says in the ToS
