Ah I see. Thank you for the explanation
@SlyOne: Doesn't work. I've never ignored any stuns at vellum.
But you said you had 65% status resist? O: Or do you mean with resistance potion since it's a good enough chance that everytime you are hit it's not working?

Yeah they can, what about 100% status resist?
For bossing you'll love Focused Fury (Bow Master). Never get caged at hilla, never get status effects, I have 65% status resist naturally and everything pretty much just bounces off me, except for CV's stun rocks, gotta be a corsair to ignore those stuns.
Why a Corsair? The crew member taking the status effect for you?
Or just have 100% status resist, right?
How much does it cost to job change? I might change my BM to a MM. He's only like lv100, but i'm too lazy to re-create another archer.
At that low level, it should only cost about 10-30m to job change.

@Elufu: Ah. I was misinformed this whole time. Thanks for the clarification
@Elufu: WA's have a 60% chance to not get hit?
They do not add together.

You have a 30% dodge rate and a 70% chance for a monster to hit you.
Out of the 70% there is a possibility of getting hit or missed. < This is when Avoid and Evasion rate kicks in.

The marksman orb reduces damage taken by a nice amount of non % hp bosses. Marksman also have an easy time when it comes to capping with avoid (since dex boosts evasion slightly).

Bowmasters take a bit more damage however, they have a skill that stacks and adds status resistance. Basically, a bowmaster will almost never get seduced/ or experience most status ailments given they are constantly attacking and status resist is stacked high enough.

Marksman has a shield to absorb 65% of your hp that refresh everytime you atk, another hero's will to clean seduce and hit slow (and clear) enough so you can avoid damage reflection. Imo they have the best survivability
what's the difference between dodge and evasion? I always thought they were the same thing but worded differently
A bit of an old post, but it's still relevant. http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2725214/1/#44672013

Evasion Rate is capped off at 90% since the Unleashed patch. Dodge Rate has no cap (e.g. Xenon's Hybrid Defenses first evade is 100%, second is 95%, etc).

@Jaffah
I believe dodge is the %chance of the monster hitting a miss.
Evasion is more like the avoid stat?

@Jaffah: Dodge is separate avoiding mechanism to the normal avoid rate. It has a flat rate of avoiding and there's no multipliers to increase it.

Avoid is your most basic avoiding mechanism that every class has. It increase with the amount of "Avoid" you have and can be also increased multiplicatively by evasion rate. Your avoid is capped at 90% (I need clarification on this). If you do a little search.. I'm pretty sure there'd be a post describing this in detail.

btw @VoidWreck: WA doesn't have 60% dodge. (It has 30% dodge and 30% evasion)
If you're going training, definitely MM. I guard against everything. EVERYTHING. Or get hit like a measly 100hp. Yeah, awesome damage reduction <3

@xEternalYoshix: In general I would go for MM. Their Damage Reduction is incredible (only helps in training though).

But yeah WH isn't a bad choice. The only problem is that as far as I know it doesn't have any dodge% .. which might feel quite lacking in bossing terms.

btw @VoidWreck: WA doesn't have 60% dodge. (It has 30% dodge and 30% evasion)

I may just stick with Wild Hunters. I already leveled him up, and he has pretty good hp and decent dmg reduction.

Wind Archer has like 60% dodge chance, yet I still burn through pots like crazy.

In general.. so like relatively good def and hp.
Basically which class can take the most hits.

And thanks @Elufu

http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2690165 - Outdated but should be okay.

Conclusion: Each has their own qualities.

What exactly are you after? Survivability in General? for Bossing? or Training?
