A level 175 Luminous can clear the ToT quests in just a few minutes each to advance up to the point where the monsters will count for the 999 quest.
The completed quests show up in the quest notifier (the lightbulb icon on the left of the screen) so you don't have to keep going back to the entry to the Temple to turn them in.

Future Henesys monsters work, but the spawn rate is so bad there you'll spend most of your time sitting around waiting for them to respawn.

@HappyFaces The entry portal to Henesys Ruins is on the same map with all the NPCs at the entry to the Temple of Time. It's one of the portals that you couldn't enter before reaching the level where Future Henesys becomes available (umm... I forget exactly what level it appears in your quest notifier).

Mutant snails is a good option but RoR1 worked for me on my lvl 200 kaiser o.o

for players lv 150+ ... any monster lv 150+ work .....

Just keep pumping through the ToT quests and you'll finish it easily. RoR 1 (the ice area) monsters will satisfy the requirement for the 999 monsters.
