International Baccalaureate

Anyone in that program in school?
If not i am pretty sure 1 or 2 of you have AP exams

From a scale of 1-10 how hard is AP exams, quite a rhetorical question
is SAT harder then AP exams or can't be compared?

Anyone here took Ib exams? heard they are crazy

@Xiscis: I went to a high school where it was joint AP/IB program, so there were four groups of students:
1) AP test takers.
2) IB program & IB test takers.
3) Both AP/IB test takers.
4) Did neither AP/IB.

Unless you're determined to go to a university outside of US, IB is a waste of time for the following reasons:
1) IB programme is a lot more rigorous than AP. Ultimately, an AP class boils down to just 1 test in May. For an IB class, the written test is just one part of your overall grade for that IB class, as each IB class makes you do additional projects (i.e. 2000 word Historical Investigation research paper using academic journals for IB History HL, Portfolio research papers for IB Math SL & HL, etc.)
2) On top of the written tests and the research projects that you have to do for each IB class you take, you have another 4000 word Extended Essay original research paper and also the CAS project to do.
3) If I recall correctly, you have to take a set number of IB SL and HL tests to receive the IB diploma. For AP, you can take as little or as many as you like (although if you want to go to a good university, more is better).
4) Most IB tests are harder than their AP counterparts.
5) Most American universities favor AP credits than IB.

Studying hard is important as a high school student, but you should still have a lot of fun with your remaining days of your childhood--IB will rob that opportunity from you with less return than AP.
Do yourself a favor and avoid IB.

I'm in IB and it's not worth the money if you want to go to university. Although you get a mark boost, your time management will get destroyed
Sat II what is that?
Dam getting a 5 is hard? Dam bru i wouldnt mind getting all 4s
SAT II's are exams on specific high school subjects like bio, chem, physics, calc, etc. Most colleges require at least two subject tests.

I always thought AP exams were hella easy. I made all 4s and 5s on the 9 or 10 AP exams I took.
On my AP lit exam I wrote one of my essays around a Riff Raff quote and I made a 4.

IB exams are all written I think (I didn't do IB but if iirc from my friends who did IB that's the case.)
So because they are all written most people think they are harder but I actually prefer free response over multiple choice so IB exams sound pretty rad if I were to be back in high school.
SAT II's were much easier than AP tests in my opinion. Getting a 5 in AP bio is harder than getting an 800 on the SAT II biology exam
but it also depends on the AP test. AP literature and AP european history were pretty easy. I heard AP stats wasn't too bad either.
