Aran

Are Arans Worth It?

They just got released in the 8th Anniversary and I wanted to make one, I just have a few questions:
1. How much funding will I to put it to get a good damage output?
2. Is the class fun?
3. In Bera will it be easy to find skill and mastery books? (I have a friend who can solo czak so i can get skill books from there)
4. Do Arans have good potential after Unlimited patch?
5. Are they worth it?
1) We hit really high with very minimal funding, so you don't need much. But of course that depends on your standards.

2) All depends on opinion. For me, Aran is the most fun class in the game, but I know a bunch of people who actually hate the class, for one reason or another.

3) Skill books are annoying since we need the most out of any other class. (Final Blow, High Defense, Combo Barrier, Combo Tempest) I don't see many mastery books in the FM sadly, since it seems like nowadays when most people do huge MMB runs, they just toss the useless books, and since Aran is a fairly uncommon class... yeah.

4) More than we do now, that's for sure. If you take the funding needed to cap on, say, a Kaiser, and transfer it to an Aran, that would be complete overkill, since our attacks hit with a very high % but very little lines. Unlimited solves that problem, but we're still low on the DPM charts, just due to the slowness of our attacks and the lack of lines.

5) Again, opinionated. A class is "worth it" if you find it fun, to put it simply. Some may argue that we're not worth it because of our low DPM, but everyone feels differently about certain things. If you enjoy the class and find it fun, then yes, it's definitely worth it. It's also worth a shot, if it's your first time playing Aran.
i think the only reason why people 'hate' it is because of the button smashing. i really enjoyed it but i ended up deleting it because my finger was hurting lmao
but the class it and the story and everything behind it is really cool

1. Arans don't really need funding to have decent damage, but our DPM is fairly low
2. Personally, I find them extremely fun. It's the only class I thoroughly enjoy, and I always come crawling back to them if I switch classes.
3. Depends on what you're looking for. I found combo tempest and final blow easily, but combo barrier and high defense were a pain.
4. Kind of, yeah.
5. I think it is.

If you want to know whether the class is fun/if it's worth it, just make one and get it to level 100+. If you get to 110 and still hate it, then don't continue.
I found them fun from first job, but some people argue it's not good until fourth. Just make sure you get final blow, or you're going to have a bad time, especially because it's required for the hyper skill.

This class has a low DPM and horrible movement, but we're strong

1) Low funding.
2) No point asking someone if it's a fun class, your opinion may differ.
3) Duno.
4) Kinda.
5) Almost like 2)
