algebra question? needz smart peoplez
what's the point of Quadratic Formula when you can use the Complete the square method to solve a quadratic equation when the X method doesn't work.
Also iz this allowed? bc i don't see a homework section

the quadratic formula X= B^2 =/- SqRt(B2+4(A)(C) / 2(A). will always find your 2 xs no matter what, it is always a back up. but for completing the square the ideal formula would be (b/2a)^2 to find both x of positive and negative. hope this helped

The general idea is to:
a) teach you a variety of methods for the same types of problems; each methods have their upsides and downsides
b) regarding the quadratic formula, familiarizing you with algebraic proofs
Of course, this isn't done well in most contexts because secondary school mathematics focuses on rote memorization without understanding the process for the sake of shortcuts in the name of standardized testing races. Focus more on the process to toward the solution rather than the solution itself.
