Name that movie

Ok, so for the past few days, I've been trying to get the name of this movie I watched a very long time ago, sometime during the late 90's I believe. Um, so the movie plot was very similar to Pinocchio, however, the time is set more in the future, and the boy (who looks human) is actually a robot/android made by some doctor. The boy lives and believes that his given mother is his real mother, but then, one day, he is separated from her and is put through an arduous journey, where he runs into an exodus of robots, being chased and hunted by humans. He ends up being caught and in his cage, he meets with another robot/android that looks just like a human. All of the robots are put to death by humans to watch for entertainment, but as the two humanlike robots are about to be put to death, the crowd shouts out saying that the 2 are human, although a scanner proved them to be robots earlier on. They get away and the boy tells the more mature robot that he's looking for his mother the "Blue Fairy".
Ok... I think that's enough plot review, but anyways, someone please, what's the title of this film? I want to watch it again.
