Luminous makes me feel useless

Alright, so I've been aware of the fact that luminous has been making i/l's depressed for quite awhile now. When I saw people playing Luminous at LHC, I was pretty okay with it. But during this event, and today, I got myself a luminous to level 120 - and I've gotta say.. It's actually really depressing knowing what luminous can do and what you can't do on your i/l.
Makes me wonder for real, what did Nexon think when they made the skills so similar? When one of them is so much better? I know that reflection is worse for bossing, but still..

Last but not least, do you see a possible buff solely for i/l's in the future?

These charts take into account like 3 of the 3000 factors that go into one's damage.
There are only a few things that I envy from Luminous. Higher base MP, somewhat higher survivability, higher mastery by 20% (this will probably be addressed in the upcoming rebalancing), higher ignore def. (by 60% overall, but 50% if lumi link skill is applied to I/L), and a bind skill (high cooldown, but still).

I/L on the other hand, have higher base damg (Luminous have the lowest theoretical damg of any class), much faster cast speed, a summon (some extra damg), higher critical rate, higher minimum critical damg, higher total damg from skills (100% total damg where I/Ls have 110% and up to 210% at the end of infinity), 50% buff duration (even works on epic adventure), more lines of full damg (half of lumi's lines cap at 50%), and your reflection may be good in multi part bosses, but don't underestimate our Lightning Orb in zak or HT. We also got party status resist, party elemental resist and party stance, and luminous got photic meditation (like our meditation), and some sub par healing skill.

I liked Luminous, but they got nothing on my I/L
I... I think I'm in love <3

Thanks! I think I can look at my I/L without thinking "I wish he was a Lumi" now. I might even level him up 20 levels so Basil will allow me to add him!

You just made me want to play an I/L, thank you very much.

And lol @ Bishops apparently not able to output any DPS. They can boss better than Phantom, Aran, DrK, Jett, etc.

I/Ls really don't have much going for them anymore, apart from preference of some players. Back in the day they were great mobbers and people wanted you in the party, but I ended up getting rid of my old I/L ages ago.

Luminous really are more diverse, they have a range of attacks and skills to use.

naturally everyone with high level op classes like lumi are the first to defend them.
play a class that cant mob or cant 1v1, or cant output almost any dps[bishop, drk, pre-195 marksmen]
the games more fun if you cant spam a move to kill an entire map with no penalty[cmon nexon..why did you make ults non spammable then make these new classes?]

Yes, I hate luminous with a burning passion. They make me want to quit my i/l or the game altogether. Don't tell me to lvl my luminous, I find it extremely boring and its stuck at 130. Im jsut waiting for the day we get a real revamp..
@zMrHero I thought that the hyper skill that luminous have to increase the range of reflects equals that of chain lightning o_o. Idk.

OT: Maybe this'll help.

Notice where Luminous are
no, Reflection's base range is higher (I think) and base jumping is much larger (though not as consistent for the far jumps). only reflection has a range increase for Reflection, making Reflection's jump even crazier and base range insane
True. But I wish our chain lightning had a longer "range". Compared to luminous, it's nothing. I don't even see why they should get it, and not us - after all, we are the one's who got a "chain" in our ability.
Maybe in the rebalancing Nexon will increase Chain Lightning's range. What will most probably happen is that the mob count is increased (5 without hypers is kinda low for a mobbing skill). Increasing mob count is technically increasing range, but bounce range increase should be good too. But I wouldn't like for it to bounce like Reflection, because Reflection bounces without control, and looks horrible to me. Chain lightning bounces forward, and that is more controllable.
No.. our bossing capabilities are better than most Mages. People who say this usually have not played a Luminous on high-end bosses or are just doing it wrong.
Its the same with every similar class. New class => potential for people to spend nx on it => more money for nexon. Theyre a company and theyve always been doing it

Reflection should of been like Blaze or our C/L. I find my I/L much more fun, and better. Being a slow hitter is so boring. It also depresses me that there is no buff coming for us...
Last time I checked Lumi's have bad bossing capabilities

If you really think that a class is so much better than yours for having a similar skill but better, then you should consider quitting your IL, its not that big of a deal.
I stated in my post that I know that reflection is bad for bossing.
I'd never quit this mage, as it was my first I ever made 8 years ago. I'm deeply attached to it.

Well, I'm not trying to rage much, but it just feels weird that Nexon implement stuff, that i/l were in need of, into another new class.
