Water resistant phones with ir?
So I'm looking to buy a new android with both of these features. Only ones I know of are the Galaxy S4 Active & S5. Anyone know of other, cheaper phones with both of these features? Also, by water resistant I mean resistant enough to use in shower, not just when it's raining.

Bro just go with the S5, probably the best waterproof phone on the market right now.
If you are a custom ROM/Kernel enthusiast, love freedom and really want to own your device, avoid SONY/XPERIA devices like diseases
If it's just for music, Xperia Z phones are definitely possible candidates, but if you want something a bit cheaper and maybe even smaller, look for the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. It's pretty much a smaller version of the Xpera Z3, 2GB of RAM instead of 3, 2600 mAh battery instead of 3100, but it's actually got great battery life according to reviews (possibly even better than the full size Z3). The only problem is that it might be a bit hard to find one in the US if that's where you are because Sony has all but given up on the US markets. Go to Swappa to find some less expensive phones.
You have the Xperia Z2 or Z1s or whatever. But for most of the waterproof phones, they are there just for safety measures. It is extremely hard to use the touch screen when it is wet because it doesn't register your touch. I tried with the S4 Active. Waterproofing is just a gimmick to attract more buyers.
Literally saw someone come out of the pool with their s5 the other day lmao
OT: Not really, s5 and s4 active are pretty much your only options. Honestly, just take a break from your phone for like 10 min while you shower it really isn't that hard.
It's not for texting or anything, but for music while in the shower & floating rivers. Plus, I don't want to buy speakers just for that.
I heard Sony Xperia Z or something has that as well...
nope, you can't use the phone while showering, even if the screen is just a little damp.
one touch on the screen and the phone just goes berserk.
