Some funny information i found on nexon

link here http://www.nexon.net/corporate/careers/benefits/

but yeah.

Up to 24 paid days off per year**
Week-long year end break*
Time off for weddings, parental leave
Team Building
Monthly team outings / Annual team workshops
Company lunches every Tuesday, Friday and special occasions
Foreign language courses*
Additional Benefits

Public Transportation Program - up to $100/monthly reimbursement for those opting to take public transportation
Seasonal flu shots*
Massage therapy sessions*

okay 1 star is like... Oh god what? but seriously. these guys get great benefits yet... are not too popular. And note the "END OF YEAR BREAK." Im guessing that'd be the worst time for an exploit to come out....

Also. Massages? Company lunches? Seasonal flu shots? TEAMBUILDING? ANNUAL RETREATS? WHAT IS THIS SUMMER CAMP?

EDIT: Some i must admit are not that out of the ordinary. But i do think Massages are. Also it depends on what Monthly team outings mean/annual team workshops. If its actual work. Good job.

Foreign language courses i can see maybe because of KMS/GMS? But i mean come on.

My mom is programmer @ IBM and she has no dental anymore after her company got ate up. Also.... Im pretty sure she doesnt have MASSAGES. And im not sure excatly what she does but its a pretty hardcore IT job..... Im just trying to get the point across... that it seems kinda a tad cushy... for the fact that economy is in the pooper etcetcetc glitches etcetcetc.

I'd like to point out that those benifits aren't all that great , I get most of those from working part time as a lab assistant in college, e.g. health and life insurance, I only work as much as I want to and the lab does barbecues and stuff all the time. Honestly for most real jobs that require a college degree this is pretty standard, they don't want to lose people with degrees ( skilled workers).
@pr3stig3 Being a college graduate I can say that those benefits are quite nice. Look at it this way, since you made a point to point out their yearly revenue: considering the size of the company in relation to those benefits you are making out extremely well. I've worked for places that don't offer health, dental, AND vision to start off, let alone massage sessions, extended vacations and 401(k) matching program. In this economy you have to take what you can get and this is definitely a large win for benefits sir.

In regards to the college requirement, yes a company that focuses on computer science and engineering you best believe they are going to require a college degree, ESPECIALLY for those benefits. What more are you asking for out of a job? I think you are a bit confused to be honest.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm used to benefits like those. I've worked at Morgan Stanley in Beijing, interned as a bank manager for BoA, and I'm currently a marketing intern at Arnold Worldwide. Most of my jobs covered the same benefits as Nexon, plus more. For instance, my current job at Arnold (which is in the Prudential Center, inside a mall), offers 40% discounts to all of their clients, including, but not limited to, Pepsi, Jack Daniels, Progressive, CFP, OceanSpray, Volvo, Fidelity, CVS, Herseys, Panasonic, etc.. We also get 30% discounts in the Prudential Mall, since our office is an extension of the mall (I'm on the 20th floor). The job I'm looking at for graduation is at Liberty Mutual, which offers FREE life/health insurance and great benefits, including bi-yearly outings and extra days off. The starting salary for an entry level position is also $75k/year.
Great benefits? Lmfao. Funniest thing I've seen all night.

I hope you understand that 90% of jobs out there offer:
"Health, Dental, Vision coverage*
401(k) Matching Program*
Up to 24 paid days off per year**
Week-long year end break*
Time off for weddings, parental leave"

Also, Nexon's annual profits are roughly ~$30 million a year, which is quite low when compared to other big companies out there. Not to mention, their entry positions require some sort of college background in IT, computer science and software engineering.

When you're actually in college, and looking for a job, you'll understand how crappy Nexon's benefits are.
Looking back i know i know. But its also a thread about... How despite the fact that nexon has such... Really... really... really NOT awesome approval raters by there players.

The reason why i dub starr'd the 24 days off. Is the fact that w/ all exploits/dupes/etc this can be an issue. since we are all stuck out in the dark sometimes when cc's are crashing right and left.

or the like 2 weeks of funny servers.

etc. etc. etc The list goes on.

Massaging kinda overboard... Anf seasonal flu shots imo.

Nexon need all these benefits, from the amount of abuse that us players give them. Not to say we are bullies or anything... o.o
