Anyone have a ceiling fan?

Since summer is almost here, I'm considering buying a ceiling fan for my room so I don't end up sweating 200 gallons by the end of summer. Do they keep you cool? Am I gonna sweat like I just ran a marathon?

It may seem as if they don't do much at first, but trust me they do. It helps the bills, so much cheaper than A/C.But if you don't have a good spot to put one or if your ceiling wasn't made to have ceiling lights or fans... you're gonna have a bad time.

Ceiling fans are pretty much standard here in Florida. They save a lot of money on the electric bill every month; a fan is a lot cheaper than running the A/C all the time. I highly recommend investing in one, if you're going to be living in the same place for a while.

Ceiling fans work great to move a lot of air, which really helps during hot, humid, sweltering summers.
They're easy to install -IF- you have a ceiling light at the location where you want to put the fan. Then it's just a matter of removing the light and replacing it with the fan.
If there's no ceiling light, you have to have a wire run to that spot, and a secure electrical mounting box added to mount the fan, which adds a lot to the cost.

How exactly are you going to install that? Just get one of those rotating fans that are put on the floor.

It does help, especially if you don't have an AC and you open the window. Doesn't it cost a lot? they have to run the wires and everything through the ceiling
