Why did they buff Cygnus Knights?

I want to apologize to all the people who love Cygnus knights, but they were supposed to be the scum of the earth, the dirt beneath our shoes. Where has you adventurer's pride gone to? Nightwalkers are supposed to be the disturbed emo brothers Night Lords never talk about. Mihile is ok. Actually I'm going to go make him now and name him Diddimus.
"In all honesty though, Nexon,
put the knights where they belong: on their knees and in the streets, where the light never meets,
in the valley by the pond,
they are sure that we're not fond,
they are poop we are snoop, throw these heathens into goop"

EDIT: Fixed some tenses

EDIT 2: The whole premise (I believe) of the cygnus knights when they were first released was to buff the main character while serving as an "entry" character for new players to get acquainted with the adventurers they were modeled after. I'm just gonna leave this here so people (deputies) don't mistake it for a shxtpost

Cygnus Knights were originally designed for the casual player. They had an easier time leveling, they were stronger than whatever class they mirrored at the same level(Sometimes to hilarious degrees; comparing a Marauder and a 3rd job Thunder Breaker was like comparing a tank and a squirt gun) and they had a lower cap. This was further reinforced with the fact that, eventually, if a casual player got to 120 on a Cygnus Knight, they could make an Ultimate Explorer who, generally, had a skill that assisted them relatively well in getting to fourth job.

With Nexon making lower levels fly by, Cygnus Knights and their original purpose, minus the Blessing of the Empress skill, became useless. As a result, Nexon gave them an increased level cap and new skills; unfortunately, some of the classes got streamlined(Night Walker in particular, I believe), while others got neat skills that changed them from their mirrored class(Thunder Breakers and Buccaneers are rather different now, instead of Thunder Breaker being a clone).

In this day and age, the old purpose of Cygnus Knights is gone. I think they're a viable class, it'd just be nice for Nexon to make them all unique, when some seem, well... pretty similar to the mirrored class, but are advertised as a 'new' class.

I don't think they were "supposed" to be anything except more variety and storyline.

I agree with your premise 100%. When they were first released Nexon even stated during character creation (and they might still) that KoC had an easier time leveling up than normal explorers. That plus the whole ultimate explorer thing they had for years

Cygnus Knights were never meant to be bad like said before.
I mean, I bet we could all tell that they would get there level cap increased to the rest of the explorers.
btw what are these deputies? I haven't been on basil for 6+ months and I would like to know if they've gotten stricter (if that's even possible) on discussion threads that seem more like troll threads
I agree 100% (no offense to anyone who likes them) Most of them are just copies of the original which is honestly pointless NOT ALL of them but the worst case has to be Night walkers.
On the f/p revamp they did have some skills of the old blaze wizard and i thought the only class that copies is night walker?
