2 parts killed = Normal Gollux
3 parts killed = easy gollux

although this is common knowledge i see it can create confusion, anyway the reason why u couldnt kill it at first was because u went in to hell gollux. anyway 80k isnt that much maybe just enough to kill normal or maybe not.

You accidentally discovered how to unlock the different difficulty levels! Unlike other bosses, there is no option to click the NPC to make it "Easy/Normal/Hard." Like a poster above me said, the difficulty depends on how many parts you kill. If you go straight for the head, it is hard gollux.

If you only have 80k range you are going to have a bad time trying to solo hard gollux

if you kill the shoulders and abdomen, it becomes easy gollux
if you kill one less shoulder, it becomes normal gollux
if you kill only one part, it becomes hard gollux
