afk simply means away from keyboard.

if you're planning on reading a book on your computer or watch a youtube video whilst having a heavy object pressed down on your key is considered afk training, however it depends whether you're still able to converse with people who talk to you or not.

tl;dr you can afk train yes. but if you dont talk back to a gm who asks if you're online within a time limit they will ban you as botting.

Actually, after my friend was falsely banned for 3 days during his quest to 250, he talked to a GM. The GM said that afk training (putting something on your key to attack for you) is ok, as long as you're not actually afk.
But even if it wasn't allowed, how would they know as long as you're there to respond o.o
The skill will stop casting if you keep using it in the same spot.
You'll still have to move occasionally when using it.
So I see no harm in it. You can't be afk 100% of the time.
You do not have to move when using it. And 'AFKin' whilst doing it is against the TOS and many have been banned for it.

It is becoming more and more common to see DAs afk whilst doing it which is really annoying. Thankfully, especially recently GM's have been alot better in catching and banning these people.

FalseMirror's right. Nexon equals it to hacking:

"What is botting? Is it the same as hacking?
Using a macro, third-party program, or physical method to play the game in a repetitive manner is considered botting. Using physical means to bot could include using coins or staplers to hold down a key. There is no difference between that and a macro that holds down the control button. Botting is considered equivalent to hacking in that it is using illegal means to play the game in a manner that is not intended by the creators. In other words, botting is just as bad as hacking."

People have been (temporarily) kicked out of the game for it.

(it was a reply to a question asked in the Q&A or something, so the source is now gone)
