Anime

Why is Anime so disappointing for me?

im not a vivid anime watcher, but when I do , it to catch up on things I watched before (eg naruto and others) or romantic comedies/SoL and I know almost 3/4 of animes I watched werent intended for me

it always ends really bad for any anime I finish, with problems in the ending or really dumb plot points , I dont have a problem with movie or "some" video game ending , but it always anime that make me think about the negatives, also when a anime doesnt get a next season to complete the story, total BS

guess im not trying hard enough to look for anime that right for me, as I save requested anime for a rainy day(cowbow bebob and gurren lagann)

Edit what anime I watched

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

D-Frag

Monster

Legend of the Galactic Heroes

Parasyte

Death Parade

Barakamon

@wolfexe problem with wonderland is that it's an incomplete series with no hopes of a second season. Those types of series are a waste of time.
OT snafuu and cross ange is good

I myself liked DeadMan's Wonderland, Accel World, Btooom, and lately Assassination Classroom. though that last one is more of a lighthearted and fun anime
There are plenty of shows out there that are great and not so great; but keep in mind some anime shows are lucky to even get a second season while most don't due to low popularity and other factors. Realistically, don't hype your expectations on anything.
I wanna believe tho, I still need a close on Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai(not reading the light novel )

as for everyone else on anime recommendations, I thanks you, that cooking anime look like a joy to watch

Your list seems to be full of mainstream anime for kids; I remember watching them as a kid. Seriously, I can only find two that are good in there.

You might need a break from anime. I did that and came back with a new found love for it.

Try watching the reboot of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. The ova from the 90s rushed a lot of content and left out the humor that was in part 3.

Well, for one... although you're "saving it for a rainy day", start with Cowboy Bebop. There's a reason it's considered one of the best anime of all time. There are story arcs, but for the most part, the series is both world building and character pieces. By the end, you will feel connected to the characters and are invested in what happens with them. Sometimes the episodes are goofy and light-hearted, but many times, they're very mature (as in they don't pull punches and don't treat their audience like kids) and somber. Much of the episodes have a very noir aspect of them... and the ones that specifically go for the "film noir" style hit their respective episodes out of the park. Heck, most episodes hit the mark for what they're trying to do... from Cowboy Funk's over-the-top hillarity to Speak Like a Child's heartwarming conclusion. It almost always works. The ending is pretty much definitive and sure, you are hoping for more... but what you get is satisfying and you can be happy with it.

Sure, there are other anime out there you could check out as well... Trigun with one of the best-written protagonists in anime... or Slayers, a rare anime that goes over the 50 episode count and still manages to maintain it's quality from beginning to end. But if you feel like you haven't found something you really need to get yourself into anime, sometimes, there's no beating the classics... and going with a series everyone can agree on as REAL quality.

Must say something about modern TV and movies if we keep coming back to cartoons right?
Watch Wolf's Rain, Darker than Black, Shin Sekai Yori, Clannad/Clannad:AS, Yu Yu Hakusho, Death Note, Code Geass and Steins;Gate. The only things on your list that I can say are good are FMA:B and Shingeki No Kyojin. SAO and Bleach were decent at best. There were times I really enjoyed Bleach but I think it was super long.

Your list is mostly trash, tbh.

I'm going to assume that's why it's incredibly disappointing.
