I agree about drk, but da is very easy to maintain, specifically at 60 and 100 when you have amazing lifesteal moves that cost nothing (is nether slice). Everything else is correct

Xenon or DA because they're the easiest to fund

Get a drk. Its super easy dmg with no funding. High hp plus with every hit u deal u heal hp so dont worry bout dying. And even if those crutches arent enough, and u do manage to die? U can break the game and defy death. Close ranged class, long range boss atk.. amazing mobbing skills.. spears are dirt cheap.. like it has no real flaws.

Ppl will tell u to go avenger and how its easy to fund but they won't tell u bout the struggle to actually find decent hp% gear. They wont tell u bout how if u wanna make the best out ur avenger u gotta put in ur own money to cube ur own equips. They wont tell u about the exceed system and how it drains 4% of ur hp per attack and how u gotta really watch ur hp when it gets low. They wont tell u how merchants dont waste their time perfecting perfect desperadoes to sell them cus avengers are rare so u gotta scroll it yourself. They wont tell u how the maple population is at the lowest its been in years so items as a whole arent sold in abundance anymore making your gear even more rare. They wont tell u how when you finally find something u wanna buy, u pretty much have no other prices to compare it to because its probably the only one in fm. They wont tell u how u have no choice but to buy it because the merch can put it at what ever price he wants to and its not like u can just go buy another one due to scarcity.

Ppl will tell u to go zero but they wont tell u bout the learning curve and how easy it is to die against a boss with reflect. They wont tell u about the skill required to hell gollux or magnus.. they wont tell u how u gotta pay attention to two different hp bars and the lag that comes with playing zero if ur comp cant handle it. They wont tell u how its not a class that any can just pick up and play and that it requires dedication, time and effort to master it.

If u looking for a class with a balance of the best bossing, best mobbing/grinding, newby/unfunded friendly then drk is definately the no.1 class in the game. .

Well thats not what the question was, it had this stipulation "Say you started in a new world".
That's really all that needs to be said though, zero is definitely the best choice for unfunded, but it doesn't apply to this thread due to the level requirement. Sure you can make a quick Lv.100 and then make a zero, but at that point we're just nitpicking and not being helpful.

OT: Normally most classes handle earlier bosses pretty similarly but Dark Knight, Paladin, Bishop and a number of other classes tend to do quite well without potions which is a big deal for unfunded players. Lowering the need for potions while bossing is very useful as you're able to stock up on all the high-value potions that drop from the bosses you fight daily and make a modest sum of cash by NPCing them. This is why I'd recommend classes that

A) Have some form of HP regen
B) Just dont really take damage

You can just run with a jr. boogie familiar and never really need potions again. It's fantastic for saving money and it really adds up.

Zero if you have a lvl 100

Demon avenger can solo pretty well

Bishop is pretty solid. All of his support skills help keep you alive in case you have poor control and its easier to find a party than some other classes. But his damage is weaker than other mages

well almost anybody can kill zak, hilla, HT, root abyss, and any other easy boss nowadays. if you're unfunded, those are the only things you can kill basically so it doesn't really matter what job you pick since they can all kill those easy bosses easily.
