Cubing for the poor/unfunded players
The RED update was supposed to make it easier for unfunded/poor people to cube. They removed occult cubes and said that they replaced with new cubes with a lower rate. So far, I haven't gotten a single cube from Hilla after so many runs and I can't do Zak (can't do jq). It's not really easy either for the unfunded to go Horntail, PB, etc. Getting the ingredients to make the new cubes are not easy either. There's the RED shop right now, but what happens after?
This doesn't look like "A better maple". It looks like the nebulite incident all over again where nexon basically made it p2w. Are there any other ways to cube without spending NX?

@wk70129: i think it only reset after bb. Occult cubes don't drop anymore. You have to buy/get them from somewhere else.
@wk70129 They got rid of occult cubes during the red patch. There is still some floating around the market pre-red.
@AznFlip you can craft cubes, though I think there's a limit.. 2/day? It's not that hard to craft, though getting from lvl 10 to master/meister is pretty tough
@AznFlip: I know how to do everything, but I can't enter Zakum for some reason. Did it reset after RED or Unleash Update? I just started playing again so
Btw, where do I get occult cubes?

Zak jq was difficult for me the last time I did it (took 20min. >.< ) b/c the last time i did it before last week was 6-7months ago on my kaiser.
@Omniscient1: I'm sure you've heard of the people who say they used like 100+ cubes to get an equipment to unique on one equip. Then there's additional cubes to get a good potential. I don't think that even the most determined of players would go out of their way to do this. IMO, post-Red update, the gap between rich and poor got even larger.
@AznFlip: It still gives you free ways to upgrading gear. Just save up your stash before using it. Free players if they really wanted to get decent potentials would take time and farm there stuff. May take some months to do so but it be worth it in the end to get your desired stats with out paying a dime. Also occult cubes still exist. They just don't drop anymore. You can find some in the free market by people who hoarded them before the update.
@Omniscient1: No but if you have to spend x hours to make ONE cube, then it's not really worth it especially with the junk potentials still out there. Occult cubes weren't the best, but at least they dropped at a 100% rate and you could still reset sucky rare potentials or if you're lucky upgrade to from epic to rare.

Off-topic: Lol, I can't do it either; I ended up shelling like 100mil for Flame Wheel 10 a year ago because I was fed up
Don't worry I've been running many bosses as often as I can and no cubes. Did easy magnus 2x, daily gollux, VL, easy ark, zak, HT, hilla and have yet to find a cube... My guildie found 1 from easy magnus though @_@.

You can get into Normal Zak? I can do everything for Zakum (besides the first part cause that takes forever), but I just can't enter for some reason.

Yes, 5 of each cube every week.
And OT: if they make them easy to get, funded players would be able to acquire them much more quickly than the unfunded players, leading them to not buy them from the cash shop. So a type of method which isn't easy is required, and one which doesn't require a lot of pvm.
Should all be happy there is even a chance to get cubes in the game. Cubes were always suppose to be a cash shop item. Now there is actually ways to get them in game. Just will take you time and a bit of effort. You want them to drop like candy from every mob or something?
I got a lot of craftsman cubes from mining floating rocks
And I found couple of cubes killing Hilla too

lol, yeah. I beat it once pre-bb but they reset the quests after bb came. Didn't even bother cuz I was sick of it the first time.

You can only buy 5 of each cube until the shop is reset on the 18th.
You get cube fragments from hilla and zak. Other bosses have a small chance of dropping a whole cube. The cube fragments are use to craft cubes. You need to find all the mats yourself. It isn't hard but time consuming. They said they were going make things easier. They never said how easy or they they will make it too easy. It will take you time and a little bit of effort if you want to make your own cubes. Hope you really didn't think they will give ppl free cubes for doing nothing did you?
