Petition to change British Time Bt back to Basil Time

Basil Time used to be the same time as Central Time Zone. But this was changed to British Time. Exactly why is Basil on British time? I'm pretty sure most of the people who come here are not from Europe.

@BobR: Next time it happens I'll note the error number. One of my friends said she had heard it was happening to others.
I've been having trouble connecting to basil. Lots of errors from CloudFlare saying Basil is down when i try to log in. Most of the time if I don't log in, Basil will work but I can't post anything new. Meanwhile, I see lots of others posting new threads and commenting. Any idea of what's going on and how to fix this?
Is there any specific error number that comes up consistently..?
There was a report earlier of someone who couldn't get into Basilmarket on their computer (kept getting a Cloudflare error), but was able to get in on his phone so he was able to let us know it was happening.

The concern is that other people may be blocked and we won't know about the problem because they can't get in to let us know about it.
The forums have been a bit quiet the last week or so and I've been wondering if this is happening to a lot more people we don't know about.

@BobR: I always knew I was GMT - 6:00. I'm just so used to the old BT and PST - 2:00 Not to get off topic, but while I have your attention, I've been having trouble connecting to basil. @ClericBoi81: I was never really sure why BT was on CST before. Like i said, the most logical would be PST so it's synced with Nexon's time.
Most internet clocks are set to GMT so everyone is "on the same page", but I do agree it's not typically easy for US users to get accustomed to the setback from GMT.
If you right-click on the clock in the Windows taskbar, then click "Adjust Date/Time" and click the "Time Zone" tab on the popup, there's a "dropdown menu" that gives the adjustment in hours from GMT for timezones around the world. I'm in EST, so I have to remember it's GMT -5 hours.

@BobR: Out of curiosity, why did @Mrbasil pick CST instead of PST? I guess my issue is that all of my friends are mostly from the USA, and not just the central time zone. I have friends on the east coast and west coast. It's just always been easy to tell the difference between those 4 time zones because that's what I'm used to. So, I don't think it would matter if Mr. B picked any of the time zones in the USA.
Not really. For the past 8 years, it has gone by CST. The majority of people who play GMS are in the USA. The majority of people who use Basil are in the USA. Why change the time for the minority when the majority are closer to CST? I for one am not changing my playing times to GMT. I have always played on CST and that's what I'm sticking to.
So what if you live in Wyoming..? What relation does CST have to someone who lives there..?
Or Los Angeles or Clearwater..?

GMT is a world-wide standard tor time expression.
Picking one time zone at random to use like U.S Central Standard Time makes no sense for a site with members from around the world, and even if you ignore all of those people, it would make more sense to have Basilmarket on Pacific Time like Nexon is.
