Aran and Von Leon Boss
For most of Maplestory, I assumed Arans cannot solo Von Leon due to our mobbing abilities. However a legendary Aran, Swirlled of Bera, proved me wrong and provided the Aran community on how he was able to solo Von Leon. His method was basically kill all the mini golems before Von Leon can absorb them. There's more to it than that, but that's the general idea.
However, doing so was painful and possibly the must frustrating thing I have ever done on Maplestory thus far, even more annoying than doing the Zakum jump quest for the first time ever. Despite doing max damage on regular and boss monsters, I was not able to get any good results and like most people I gave up, rationalizing that Von Leon coins aren't really that useful and so i should moved on with my maple career onto more important things like being a heneh03 (just kidding).
Anyways so today i was on youku.com and i found this Aran from Kms soloing Von Leon with slightly above average damage and yet was able to kill Von Leon. I personally think it's genius however, I feel quite stupid I didn't think of it. I'm not sure any Arans out there have tried it, thought of it but here's the video. Let me know what you guys think!

Not sure how much you know about Von Leon, but its really not that simple and not all classes have the potential to deal that much dmg.
Hmm this is interesting. I always assumed arans couldnt solo vl either. Too late though, Ive already made 2 other classes that can.

I remember when my damage was really low I tried this technique and failed miserably, glad to know it works for some people though.
I was getting too much hate on the video though, so I took it down a couple days after I put it up, if anyone is wondering. :x

Basically his strategy is to lure all the monsters to one side, and run to the other, and seeing how the boss can tele instantly to you while the mobs can only walk, he uses that chance to solo Von Leon without killing any of the rhinos keeping the spawn at max, so no mini golems can spawn. I know people have used this technique when 1 vs 1 attack stops locking onto Von Leon for some reason, but I wasn't able to make the connections he made.
He's was killing it like a pally would: max out spawn w/ boars, killing any golems on the way, and focus on VL himself.
It's obviously harder for an aran because all the moves are mobbing, but it's doable.
Sweet now I know how to solo him.

Usually youku isn't like this but yeah i see your concern. I tried to rewatch it and i had to wait 20-30 secs before the video loaded which is annoying but i think personally it's worth the wait =0
