Everlong

Anyone can start one up. It usually happens in the summer because that's when most people are free. It's annoying to host one because you have to plan everything out (meeting place, time, date, activities, transportation, etc) and make sure it becomes a success. As a host, you want to try your best to please everyone, but it's difficult because... Well, it's Basilmarket lol.

and this is disappointing, here i was imagining hundreds of basilers dressed as their characters LOL
According to one of the mods, there are only several hundred thousand members on basil, and only around 2% are more than completely inactive.

Large site yes, but not that much will go on for games like MapleStory. Most of the larger gatherings belong to pay-to-play games, because many of the players have their own debit cards/credit cards for subscription play, and are probably above 18.

OT: As for me, I wouldn't really be interested in attending a basil meetup, since I can't imagine any good conversations. I wouldn't want to talk about MS since I quit, and the chances of an artist being there is close to none. Besides, I don't want to sound rude (but I am) but I see it as a bit... well... weird. I'm not a wanna-go-to-convention type.
As I've heard, most basil meet-ups are those who are in college already, and there's mostly only 5 or 6 people. Anticlimactic really. Then again, I don't really think basilers are the people you want to be meeting..
basil cons usually are planned annually during the summer
except no one like to plan them since it's hard to satisfy everyone... then some people don't show up and etc.

LOL, well, that's disappointing. Maybe there should be an annual Basilcon.
