Question for you 3ds owners
Did you prefer buying your games at the store, so you have a physical copy with you, or to buy them all from the 3DS Eshop?
Idk to me it seems better to buy from the Eshop since all your games can be saved on one item, but a lot of people rather physical copies.
Just curious what you guys do

Should have made a poll for this question. Anyway, most people prefer physical copies. It's just safer that way. You can trade games in if you don't want them, lend them to a friend or give them or trade them with a friend. It's reassuring having the physical copy. Of course, not all games are on the Eshop so it would kind of annoy me having half of my collection on the 3DS and half at home or being carried around.
I am all Digital but 1.
All my games I own are Digital but I own Physical copies of Pokemon games.
I don't understand why you would buy physical, like you are going to throw those games out in the future because they are taking space.
I owned 40 DS games (normal DS) and I had 50 GBA games all of them are gone because I had to get rid of them because they were taking space.
If you are going to share games to your friends that is sad to have poor friends.
Also that annoying thing of switching games, if you take one game out and put that game in, you have a high chance of loosing that game.
I got my game Pokemon Silver and Sapphire stolen because I was switching games. If it was digital both games will be stuck in my device.
The only thing I dislike about Nintendo eShop is very old school like. But Nintendo is old school all over the place (the reason what is killing them).
Once you buy the game it is not linked to your account, so I can never lose that SD card or get that card formatted.
All other platforms (PS, Xbox, Steam) all have games link to your account, so if you want to play on your friends house you can, or if you loose the game you can get it again.
But I can understand because the 3DS is a handheld device so it is going with you anywhere (your games go anywhere).
The E-shop has like no games.
If it's a game I want to have, I'll want the physical copy, but if i'm just browsing the online store and a special sale/promotion catches my eye, I probably just get it. However, I might not be as motivated to play the egame than the physical, since it's not a game that I was very interested in.
When I have the option, I got physical because 1) I like game boxes, and 2) I don't support Nintendo's current account system.
I don't actually own a 3ds, but I prefer to have physical copies rather than digital copies. I just like seeing my collection of game cases, since that's what I've grown up on since the Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo days. Plus, with digital copies you have to worry about how much space you can store and games are pretty large files these days, so it's gone faster than you know it. I'd rather save digital space for little extras and updates games are bound to have.
Physical copies, like @holydragon said and if you drop you 3DS and the SD slot it broken then sucks for all your downloaded game
I prefer the physical copies, but I have some on eshop too. With physical copies you can get those club nintendo points too.
Eshop is saved onto system. If it gets stolen, you lose all those games.
It's better to own a physical copy so you can sell it back when you're done with it, get some money back, then buy the next game.
Only reason i'd buy it digitally is if It is only offered digitally, or it's at a ridiculousy low price.
I like to collect physical copies.
Carrying them around isn't that bad.
I would buy games at the store, since hard copies of the game make me feel cool.
It really just depends on the kind of person you are.
If you have someone over, you can show off your loads of video games to them.
If you don't really care, I guess you can just download them to your 3DS.
But IMO, I don't like giving my credit card information out, especially on some little handheld. It's just my weird mentality kicking in. Haha!
but the best part is that you don't have to keep taking the games out and putting them back in I guess. So there's that.
Overall, I like having a physical copy of my games because I like having them.

By the way, you can get any game for much cheaper online/in store.
Eshop is always going to be the normal, set price, that's usually higher since you can get a discount and other promotions in stores.
Physical copies cause it is easier to share them, get some nice box art, and I just like owning something physical.
