Release of Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter postponed due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company International have postponed the launch of Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter - two software applications that were originally scheduled to launch for Nintendo 3DS on Dec. 27 - due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service. Due to the high traffic, players are having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs and downloading content in the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience.

Meh, I'm personally not that bothered by this delay since I've still put no effort into transferring all my Shinies and such to White yet.

I want a claydol because I realized how usable it can be. Its immune to lighting and ground moves so it has switch in capability and it has great bulk. It can run stealth rocks, rapid spin, and both screens. Only issue is that there is no reliable recovery method but that can be alleviated with a sitrus berry.
Gimme pokebankz foo

I have never played the black and white version before, so this doesnt really bother me; not being able to transfer pokemon from the game to x and y. The only pokemon I want that are unobtainable in x and y are Yamask, Feebas and Snivy
@AshLikeSnow: uh I don't go to q&a things. And are you saying that it takes 1.5 years for Nintendo to code something that doesn't even work? Is that what I'm underestimating?
sorry, by last summer I meant the summer that just passed. information from that q&a was tweeted from several reliable sources and was widely discussed in every major pokemon board. the pokemon bank worked just fine. the initial errors jpn players were getting were because everyone was using it at the same time and that was expected. you're not going to make it totally error free by investing more than the company needs to run the service smoothly under regular conditions. no sane business does that. the actual transfer feature worked extremely well when it did. the main reason for the delay is the eshop traffic and multiple factors contributed to it because it was the holidays and a ton of kids were getting 3ds' and wii U's. you should stop talking down about something that you're not well informed about.

@ezioadvanture: Nope. I bought it last month in a second hand game shop. It has a lot of EV trained and shiny Pokemon on there so I didn't want them to go to waste.

I want to play Pokemon white 2 but I'm too lazy to transfer all the Pokemon this guy left on there (it's a second hand). I need Pokebank :[.
And then have literally NO security checks on Pokemon that were deposited into PokeBank? Seriously? This thing doesn't come out until 2.5 months after their respective games and yet it STILL has no effort put into it? Someone I know who has a Japanese 3DS and a Japanese X/Y game said he was able to put in a Pokemon that HE created from PokeBuilder (iPhone app) with moves it can't possibly learn and abilities it can't possibly have and was able to put it into his PokeBank (I guess Japanese 3DS' have access to the Japanese eShop).
if you remember their q&a at the round table last summer, they said they were trying to come up with a transfer method. my guess is the pokemon bank didn't start being developed until after x/y development began wrapping up. you're underestimating the time it takes to code and test.
