Do you lie about your academics?
I have a feeling most people won't get what I mean, so I'll give you my example.
Since elementary I was known for being smart or whatever and that's all people thought of me and nothing else. I got so sick of it and felt like most of my friends were just leechers. Also, I faced serious stress problems in high school because of this and failed some classes. The high expectations were killing me, even if it could have just been all in my head. My parents hated me for this as well but I liked it that way. I wanted them to keep hating me and I wanted them to get used to the bad grades. This actually worked and people stopped expecting so much out of me. Now whenever someone asks me about a test or my grades I just say I'm doing ok and when they want the specific grade I just say I have a B. I'm doing a lot better, though, because I feel like I'm working for my own sake and not others. But I feel like this attitude will turn against me one day.
I'm sure a lot of you have gone through something like this as well.

I kind of just say, "yeah, I did okay."
And when people force me to show them, and I got 100% on the test.
I try my best, do my best, and don't lie. I don't care what others think of me.
Imo, I'm the supposed "smart one," but compared to other people on the mainland, I am dumb.
How far can I be from you people? I'm in high school, and I'm supposed to be ahead... by being in geometry.
And, is it not worse to find that the SAT is supposed to be the "Standardized Aptitude Test," (or whatever it is), but it quizzes only up to geometry?
What about the PSAT, the ACT, and the AIME?

Yea half my teachers think I'm kind of dum so when I do well on a test or assignment they don't have pleasent expressions Lol.
i just do my best and dont really lie
people never expect much out of me anyway so i am good
I don't really talk about grades, let alone lie about them
if I do good and someone asks I'll tell them, if I do bad and someone asks I'll tell them
it's not a big deal
I can't really say, my parents really don't care about my Report Card. I also never study for anything unless I forget everything, and I usually get 85+
I actually can't say I find myself in the same situation as you OP.
I'm rather smart, but no one is expecting huge things from me.
I get all A's, however I occasionally will tell the teacher "Oh my we have a test today?" When I really studied my ass off. Hey, I like people to think i'm effortlessly genuis.
No I get A's and lie that I have B's to make people thing I'm average and once in a while I tell my parents I got an A on a test so they don't get too disappointed or whatev
I was a stupid kid when I was like... in elementary.
High school, I rarely try to lie about my grade. I get good test scores, horrible grades on assignments due to laziness.
