Petition for this Leak

Lot of us having been getting hacked because of this User ID leak and nexon has taken barely any action on it other than changing your password and some lock account thing.

No compensation has been announced for us and no compensation can be given to replace our time and effort we spent on this game, not to mention real money.

A lot of us are hacked due to our own ignorance, but this isn't the case, we got hacked and are at risk of being hacked from something we can not stop or control.

We can change our info to something difficult for them to find out, that doesn't mean they won't get it in, so for the sake of MapleStory, our friends, our time and effort, please sign up for this petition for nexon to give a rollback before this leak took place.
None of you must have been looking at MY COMMENTS then - Like I said before...If they can take ticket requests to change your ID to your email, they can take ticket requests to rollback your individual account to the time before this leak.
Rolling back individual accounts will basically blow the game up. Let's say you roll back 2 weeks ago. In that 2 weeks you found an item and sold it in FM to someone who isn't getting RBed. Now since you have been rollbacked, technically that item should have never existed, but it is in someone else's inventory. Where does the item go now?

Also this can be abused as well sadly. Even though your account gets RBed, other people will still have your equips unless they lose them when you get RBed. But then again some items you may have sold legitly may be gone and etc etc. You can't rollback individual accounts, you have to do the whole system which Nexon won't do since not everyone got hacked.

Why are you guys blaming Nexon for your kiddie PWs. I'm on the list with 3 of my chars. You don't see me getting hacked =_=. Here a PW I use for example yuRP122y15cO

And btw, mike just told me that you were hacked also.
I'm giving nexon 1-2weeks to release anymore news on this leak, after that, I'm out.
I believe restoring an individual character to a certain date within 1-2week span would be the best thing to do, even if that meant you had to have access to your email.
But what about people who get from 1-150+ in a week D:

Rollback won't happen. It would have to be everything which would result in several characters AND NX spent on those characters ceasing to exist which would piss alot of people off. For example, I created a F/P 2 days ago and it's 83. It would be deleted entirely and then I would need compensation as well. Knowing Nexon, they'll probably give out 20k (hoping they give high number) points to those affected. Yeah, that aint much but you know that they NEVER EVER restore things fully. NEVER.
And stop thinking of yourself as well. A lot of people weren't affected, and don't want the rollback. Maybe you were affected, and possible some people you know, but the majority were not. A rollback would not benefit the people who were not hacked, which is the majority of the community.
I bet you'd change your mind if you were in my position.

You weren't using those free anti viruses did you? Some of them are crap tbh and miss some stuff
You are only thinking about the list, like some of us have said before, we were not all on the list, obviously meaning - more than 19k were hacked.
And like I said before, stop being selfish and thing about others, if they can rollback all the servers at once and if they can sit here and check '19k' tickets so you can change your ID to your email. Then I am positive they are capable of taking tickets for a 1 time rollback for your individual account.
I would have supported this last week, but it's too late for a rollback. To satisfy 19k ppl, Nexon has to consider the rest of the people... which count as a million... That's like over 1k levels gone, 1 thousand hours wasted from the players, achievements such as scrolling or finding something really good gone. Even if they rollback the hackers will just hack the account again.. since they already have the info.
I'm on the list, but something like this is not enough for a rollback. Nexon has already given everyone a chance to change their ids to their emails a few days ago. Those who were hacked were their fault for having a password that was simple. A rollback is unfair, just because 19k ppl got hacked.. Nexon isn't going to waste their time doing a rollback for 19k people when there's a few million other players who aren't affected by this.. Think about it now, would you rather give 19k ppl back their stuff and let the other millions of players lose what they gained? The obvious answer is NO. -_-
Tbh it's way less than 19k ppl getting hacked you're probably only pleasing like 8k that already got hacked so agreed no rb

Umm rollbacking wont' do anything, they still know 19K+ ID's. If you know your own email you could use the new setting where they make ID's useless and make it so only you can log in using your email address.

They said that if you were affected, you change your settings so that your ID is useless, so that the only way you can log in is using your email. The best way is to first change your email to a new one, then render your ID useless so then hackers can't use it

1. I'd say restore hacked chars even though that might lead to double items in-game. Other solution would be a restore and wipe the existing doubles (tough for ppl that bought cheap godly's).
2. Make sure not just anyone can sign up for a account restore, but limit it to the people on the circulating lists.
3. Allow everyone (or just the ppl that suffered from the leak) to change their account ID's, or remove their account ID and make them use e-mail for login just like new accounts.
4. Compensate well, as none of the players are to blame, but Nexon is. No lousy 2x which lands in the middle of the night for many of us, but something like maple points might do.

It's not, and I'm not even that mad at being hacked, just mad nexon hasn't taken an action other than 'just change your password and amke your ID your email' - no compensation or way to get your hard earned work back.

Well I have seen petitions before for rollbacks, I can't tell you specifics but 1-4 times they have done it shortly after the petition, even if that means they were already going to do it before the petition since economy's can be screwed in all servers.
But this is worse, the whole game is at stake.
have you played maplestory adventures? you obviously did something to get hacked, and if you weren't on the list then its got nothing to do with the mts.

its not like any important people at nexon actually check this site anyways. hime is really only on to clear up rumors and i doubt she's too high on the ladder anyways. they're doing what they can, but ultimately there's some 20% of players affected by this and then there's the 80% of players who don't want to lose weeks of gameplay.
I have not even looked at that facebook app lol.

I agree. I got hacked yesterday.
Literally

8/31 fine
9/1 ->Went to friends house
9/2 bam 180m and 2 level 17 evolving rings gone.

I'm not that mad seeing how I really don't care. But... still I'd rather have my stuff back, and I hope this doesn't happen again.
If nexon had acted when this started and rolled back then, I would have been all for it. At the moment though, you are talking about weeks of time being undone. Even for the people who lost it all, that is asking too much from the rest of the community as a collective. I am sorry, but it will not happen.
If there was a way to restore characters themselves to a certain point, an individual rollback, I would be all for it though. Not a likely option, but the only one that would be plausible at this point.
no you don't change your id, you just log in with your email instead
uh, nexon has made it possible to change your ID. you could always change your password. besides, your ID is only 50% of what you need to get in to an account, and if you've ever posted on nexon forums it's out there anyways. getting a rollback isn't going to change anything. your IDs are already out there.
They didn't make it possible to change the ID, you can put in a ticket and get them to disable the account ID so you log in with your email instead.
This doesn't work if you don't have access to the email, so it's only a solution for those people. Sigh.

I have backtraced everything I have done this week, checked the list and I wasn't on it for the leak, I got on yesterday on maple I was fine and wasn't hacked, and I log on an hour ago to find out I was hacked. I know you can change your info, but obviously if you change it and change your ID and all that after they do the rollback, then you will have never been hacked and this will all go away.
This is why I'm doing this petition.
