Deadmau5, Deadmau5, Deadmau5.

Why do people even like the guy? What genre exactly would you even classify him as? I know progressive never seems to get anywhere, but his tracks are just... ridiculously simplistic. It is, no joke, the same riffs and bass kicking over and over again for 5 or 6 minutes.

Only things I can think of is the hat.

He's not dubstep.

I will admit that it's getting pretty popular, but it's still pretty good to me.

I think he's a Chris Angel and a David Blaine wannabe, his magic sucks though
Many songs are similar to others by him (he's just repeatedly releasing what 'works').
And no other artists do that? Listen to almost any artist's works, and they'll continue doing the same thing (Taylor Swift, Ke$ha, Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, and a almost all other artists...)

He's popular, and has tons of tracks released. Believe it or not, people originally tend to like an artist because they have a ton of their songs and so "can talk about them".
Remind you of those die-hard anti-mainstream guys? Yeah, not so different.
But really, it's quite plain to see his whole goal from the start was just to make money. Many songs are similar to others by him (he's just repeatedly releasing what 'works').

Pretty much what this guy said.
OT: I think his older songs are what gets me though, too many kids are like, "omahgawh. 4x4=12!1!1!1!" no just no. Those are not his greatest.

It is pronounced dead mouse.

I'm pretty sure he's like trance eltro house.

And op, may I ask what music you like?

His music is house. House music is usually pretty simplistic.
@ZombieOverlord: Yet he makes millions of dollers from the wub wub wubing sound....
It's okay, but there are plenty better.
Then again, I don't like house as much as the other electronic genres.

Despite my love of the genre, I find deadmau5 very lacking.
Not that great, really.

Isn't it said something like deadmouse?

There's like someone in my school obsessed with him. Aside from that, I've never heard of this guy.

I stick to my own genre and don't complain.

And is it said like dead-mau like maul-five? I think it is.
