The plot was horrible. The characters were boring and dull. The issues were meaningless. The symbolism is a joke and overcomplicated by too many people. And I could hardly stand reading a chapter of that garbage without falling asleep at my desk.
Call me ignorant or immature, but I could hardly care about the historical references that were put into the book. I don't want to force myself to try to like it, I just want to plain out like the book when I first attempted to read it. And believe me, The Great Gatsby is anything but likeable.
i dont know what you found wrong with the trailer. If its anything like the director's Romeo and Juliet, you'll find me at the midnight premier.
