Is anything being done about the botting/hacking in reboot?

the whole point of this world was 'hard work will get u to the top ranks' so when I see botters and hackers showing off their legendary 70% boss equips they illegitimately got it really makes me want to quit this game. Seems like Nexon isn't doing sht about these people either because for the past 2 weeks, 100% of the time I attempt to go to MP3 to train or pass through crimsonwood forest to get to commerci I see someone botting. And plz don't say I shouldn't care about this since trading isn't allowed because literally everyone was pissed about Nexon attempting to add Meso sacks in the CS and this might actually be worse than that. So back on topic, has anyone been banned for botting/hacking yet?

Hackers and botters ruining everything for the legitimate players? KSing everywhere? Reboot really IS like the classic Maple!

@bradleetee: Why are you comparing maplestory to college

As much as I want to bash on the GMs, I'm pretty sure the GMs have lives too, since it's the holidays they would want to get turnt, get lit, etc
And it's reboot, it's not like it's affect the economy or anything, right? right?

*complains about GM's not doing their job while they're on winter break*
Well alright then

@bradleetee: Your analogy kinda blows. The person who went through college, if they had a career path in mind, they should have picked a school that would allow them to have connections with companies in the field they would like to work with. Shouldn't just pick a school because they offer a degree, because that's not really working hard.

And to get places by just knowing people, one has to be able to maintain a relationship with such people who can allow one such opportunities.
But back on Maple. Reboot does have a ton of botters, but it does allow players to do a lot more off of hard work without having to buy NX to keep up. I may not be strong yet, but I like the feeling that if I focus on grinding, I'll eventually get to where I want to be. ^^

Edit: Think of it as being a restaurant. Sure, there's a lot of restaurants who have owners who will cheat and do nasty things to get ahead, but it doesn't mean your restaurant can't be successful in doing what you want it to do in the world with them around if you play honest.

We should all just hack... they cant and wont ban everyone lol
Them telling people to not hack isn't going to do anything and if i was that person id log off for the night then hack again the next day lol

I could tell you how i know they wont ban everyone
And ive heared people just send tickets to get unbanned

Nexon's punishment isn't really based too much on severity of the offense but, rather, the reaction/outcry of the community

AFK training wasn't cracked down on until people started spamming the forums. If we do a side by side comparison of the recent cube exploits, the one that got bigger reaction/more attention (the reboot 99 cubes+mesos one) received the bigger "punishment" whereas the other one is known by Nexon but remains unpatched (did a couple bans/tradeblocks and missed like 50%+ of the other mules; unpatched for 15 days so far but pointless now).

Anyways, the game is dying and Nexon's just milking every last drop before Maplestory 2

@zouyiro: thx for doing exactly what I told u not to do in the thread. Well it's hard to explain but think of it this way, u go to school for 4 years to get some job and some person u know gets in right away because he has some relationship with the owner of the company. Your life has no direct contact with his but wouldn't it piss you off that you've worked so hard to get something when someone else had to do little to nothing to get it?

Wow I never thought the capitalized 3 last letters stood for the server name! I always thought it was just WIN lol.

@bradleetee Aside from the massive botting at MP3 it really isnt a big deal. Someone being godly in reboot shouldnt affect you. There will always be someone having insanely godly equips in MS and showing it off. They do it ALL the time in every server. Even the legit do it. So dont just assume its always a botter. But yes MS has one of the absolute worst communities I have ever encountered online.

@bradleetee: What's the whole problem? Why you even care if they're botting or hacking.. getting perma ban or not, doesn't affect you at all, since there isnt a trade system.

@nexin: Well I learned a couple things here, maplestory probably has the worst GM's out of any game and has a shtty community to boot *cough cough* Yeah I was debating quitting before making this thread but now I'm sure of it

My brother uses hack/bots. He got banned permanently last week.
He requested account unban via ticket and got his account back today.
Uh huh

Quit dude, they are just whispering these people and making them stop the hacks, but what doesn't stop them from using it when the GM is offline or whatever. look at these pictures. "http://imgur.com/a/4ACHX" copy and paste that link into your browser. If I was a gm I would ban they're whole account permanently because they destroy the game.

GM's are literally just whispering them asking them to stop.

I am sure GMs are working but they are human also. There are many more botters in Reboot than GMs, and when GMs ban the botter can simply just create a new account. Yes I can see how it is a problem for many people but we have to face the fact that it will always be a problem to some extent.
