Soloing Zakum, aka didnt we have an I/l bossing thread?
Lv150. Range 10k-13k. Skills mostly on track with Kalemora's guide, except for one point in Hero's Will. How long would it take for me to solo Zakum and how likely is it that I'll die like a dog -- nay, like unto a wretched cur?
And what on earth happened to that thread?

You can probably do it. I was able to do with around 15k range I believe.
@chainedwind that vocabulary
Well if you're talking about the lilynouch (the horse boss), it's much easier to die to him as a mage than it is to die to zakum. Damage reflect is evil. Zakum's occasional 1/1 shouldn't be too hard to handle. Make sure you have plenty of all cures and potions and you're good to go.
My range is 35-50k and really the only difficulty is staying up on the top platforms to hit the upper arms. since we have no knockback resistance (might want to get a mihile for his knockback linkskill). Zakum isn't hard to survive, and you should be able to kill him in under 30 minutes with that range.
Ah, yeah. My impression of it mostly ran to "snow unicorn chess piece thing that is LAUGHING AT MY CONNECTION", but that sounds right :'D
My no-Mikhail decision is based on some pretty idiosyncratic reasons -- it's genderlocked, and I'm no fan of warriors -- but I dunno that I can overcome them for long enough to reach lv70, haha.
Due to the fact that most guides are the same, I'd assume you've maxed CL, Infinity, Buff Mastery, and started on Arcane Aim?
If so, that plus the range...
The fact that you're a magician, your survival rate is high. Very high. You've got almost no chance- no, you've got absolutely no chance of dying unless you forget to bring Power Elixirs / Ginger Ales or lag when he 1/1's.
Time to solo? I'd say about 20-25 minutes. I take 7 minutes with my 20822 ~ 27077 range on average.
Have fun soloing! It's one of my favorite parts of the game!
Guide I'm following switches AA and Infinity's positions, so I'm only 2/3way through Infinity Hah, lag... killed me like three times when I was finishing the boss part of ToT quests. Better do this when no one else is around using up, er, internet juice, then. Thanks
So you're just starting on Infinity? I'd level up some and try to get a ~15k range before attempting but that's just me.
Just about! I wouldn't say no to that; it's better to be safe (and who can object to having an easier time killing a boss?)
