Most emotional and sad anime Ive ever watched
Is Nagi no Asukara aka A Lull in the Sea
Dare I say it's more emotional than Clannad.
PS if you want to watch it I recommend the sub by the fan sub group Vivid

Anohana is emotional af
Come back after you've watched Anohana, foo >.<
That show was just horrible. It should have cut out the romance and just made it all about discrimination between the sea and land people.
The whole pentagon and the pairing were just horrible.
5cm per second always got to me.
I only cried in clannad when nagisa gave birth.
Anohana
everyone should watch Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. That's the anime that ripped my heart more than any other. Ano hana is on par with it. Somehow, I didn't find myself bawling over Clannad. It was more gradual crying throughout after the really sad scene. Same with Angel Beats, I didn't really cry that much. Probably bc I watched it when I was 12 and wasn't all into the feels at the time.

It's really sad that it barely passes 8 on MAL.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I cry tears of joy whenever I watch that animu.

Don't read anymore comments seriously.
@Fluxxxxx nah, I don't think it failed. The pentagon was a nice change from usual triangles, but it made a lot of people rage at how frustrating it was. Good feels though.

Personally I was shipping Hikari with Miuna or Chisaki. Although Kaname x Chisaki would've been great too. Felt sorry for Kaname. Hated Tsumugu and didn't like Manaka. >.<
x100 this not only were the art and visuals amazing but the soundtrack was top tier.
-spoilers below-
Was kinda devastated knowing that Hikari x Miuna was hopeless. Kaname... what a poor guy but I felt sorry for Chisaki the most because she's the one who didn't want change but changed the most. She had to go through 5 years of regret and sorrow and even then when her friends came back she couldn't hang out the same way as before.
On my watch list now! Thanks.

Really impressed by the art and visuals though, sasuga P.A Works
Really? I think Clannad and Angel Beats were more tear jerking than Nagi.
by far one of my favorite animes.
I would have to say this show failed as a drama. It had a love... pentagon?
Nonetheless, it had great ost, art, animation etc.
out of what I have seen, Clannad wast he one that made me cry the most
now I have to try this one out
I love that show and it was a super good shot at beating out Clannad as best anime drama ever but didn't have quite the punch Clannad had imo.
Nagi no asukara was beautiful. I could relate to the raw emotions of almost everyone of the characters. It was great that character development was strong in each character.
Of course it's more emotional than Clannad. Asukara actually has real emotions.
I personally don't put it very high up on the emotional scale though.
