shield wards not working on sealed items
so i went and bought the shield ward cash shop item.
i took it out of cash shop, threw it on my weapon (which so happens to be item locked) ...

anyone having different experiences? or hearing of it working on locked items?
i've tried it with it equipped, and with legendary spirit with no luck.
does anyone know if that glitch involving item un-lock requests still existing? the one where the lock is removed, but the expiary date remains?

So they changed the sealing effects after chaos without warning us? That sucks Nexon.

My friend tried doing this, raged, and tried enhance w/out the ward. The item blew up, according to him.
It appears that you can't scroll equips with item seal. BUT at least before Chaos, we were able to scroll the sealed item. There was a notice pop up when scrolling saying that the item might be destroyed when scrolling and item guard could [b]NOT[/b] prevent the destruction, then it asked you if you want to continue, you could scroll if you clicked "yes". At least that's how I boomed my [b]SEALED[/b] VIP earrings. Also, I used advanced enhancement scroll on ALL my sealed equips pre-chaos and it ALL worked. So now I'm thinking if can't scroll sealed item is a glitch or nexon just changed it after chaos patch. If they did this intentionally, then it would be unfair for users who bought item guards, since the function of item guards [b]DID NOT[/b] include prevent fro scrolling. And for those people who are holding items with long term seal, they would most likely miss the shielding ward event cause they trusted nexon's item guards.

Okay now I'm a bit more irritated that before. . . .
That was a stupid move to do to players who have items that are locked prechaos.
ya some poster mentioned they should make scrolling locked items only possibly with the shield wards.
i wouldn' tmind that option at all.
i just dislike how it was changed without warning...

Correct me if I'm incorrect though.
Also, I swear that they didn't use to have the description that prevented scrolling. I am 99% sure that they used to say "prevents item from being dropped, traded or sold". I don't know if anyone can confirm if the scrolling thing is recent.
Let me tell you about an incident that happened a couple years ago. Nexon somehow managed to have thousands of players information leaked out and there was a mass hacking spree. Yeah Nexon was stupid to have let the hacking happen in the first place, but item locks mean that even IF someone did get into your account by somehow managing to steal your information, they couldn't drop your reverse items.
Here's another true story: I had a friend that accidently npc'd his facestompers because he confused them with another pair of shoes he had, I had another friend NPC a godly PAC thinking it was a gaia cape on a split second glance.
My items are locked just not for the off chance I will be hacked, but to protect myself from my own possible mistakes, such as accidently dropping something godly due to lag or some other unforeseen event. I know I won't npc a pair of unique rose earrings on accident if it happens to be in a pile of normal ones from monster drops because even if I tried, it's locked, and I won't lose it.
What makes the shielding wards even more broken for people with locked items is that you CAN enhance locked items! But the shielding wards don't work on them, that's the part that is messed up.
This makes me so sad
Pretty much everything I have is locked, I guess this keeps me from spending NX though. . . .

the item lock expires well after the shield wards do unfortunately.
i ticketed nexon site, hoping for a solution.
otherwise i'm gonna have to see if anyone in alliance or whatver is willing to buy them off me.

ya they changed that with chaos patch....
this was locked before chaos patch though. =_=
I believe that you can't scroll a locked item because that would change it making it different which the seal prevents. So I don't think you can do it.
No, I think when the Lock expires, that is the only way you can scroll it.
Also, do regular scrolls work on item locks, because if they don't then you can't do anything to it.
