I was thinking the same thing...
or she could have lava bended her into hell because they were fighting on ground... made of rock?
like comeon korra get your stuff together - if a hitler v2.0 took over 90% of the earth kingdom already, she probably doesn't give a rat's booty about "peace"

but who needs him when we have Katara who'll just go crazy and Bloodbend her too
What I don't understand is why Katara didn't just metal bend her into pieces since Kuveira is covered in it.. Unless she actually didn't learn metal bending at all (not sure)

This, this so hard. Seriously, I just finished watching the 5th and 6th episode and I was expecting Korra to blood bend her or at least metal bend! I mean c'mon she can metal bend, she shouldn't be having such issues against an egotistical metal bender who's only devoted to destroying things, you could tell they made it seem as if Kuvira was trying hard but you could tell by the stances that she wasn't trying at all. Korra needs to get her game together and start whooping some evil rear.
I feel like a kid again when watching these, but dang, I love the Avatar series.
Well Korra is the worst avatar so far. She needed to go into the avatar state just to do that big gust of wind attack. That fight was weak. I don't know where they got the idea that these smaller "more precise" attacks were better. They get dodged like hell, those giant ass moves they used to use were obviously more efficient. It's not like they're actually boxing where compact punches are safer than wide swings.

Seriously, Opal + Jinora's move, why did she not just use that when it's that effective.
You're back...already...
Korra hasn't been fighting for almost three years. It makes sense that she's not as good, but honestly, I was expecting Korra to beat the hell out of Kuvira. At first, I loved Kuvira's firmness, but she's honestly just become such an egotistical ass that she needs to have her bending taken away from her.
Yea honestly these fight scenes are pretty dumb most of the time. I mean if two young girls can fend off an entire army + Kuvira, I'm sure Korra could've whupped on her. I wish they bumped up the flash and epicness that they always had in ATLA :[

There seems to be a trend of Avatars being too afraid to do the deed.
Roku -> Sozin
Aang -> Ozai
Korra -> Kuvira
