Mercedes or Luminous?
Hey everybody. I know you really don't want another one of these threads, but this time, I'm seriously torn between which class to main. I just started in Windia, so I have no funding or link skills or anything. Both of these classes look extremely fun, but I created my Luminous because I was dying too much on my Mercedes. However, after reading up on Merc and how they get iFrames, I think it actually looks pretty decent. I just have a few questions.
1.) Which ones easier to fund?
2.) Which one is more fun in your opinion?
3.) I know Luminous are the fastest trainers, but how fast does a Mercedes train?

I am pretty sure, that the popular opinion will be Luminous. But I will choose Mercedes.
1. I don't fun my sub-chars, but I would say int is less expensive than dex, so Luminous.
2. I like Mercedes more because you move more, it's more active vs. Luminous. You have more variety in skills. PLUS, I HATE LUMINOUS VOICE OVERS, and I like to keep Maple music effects on.
3. Luminous has this skill during 4th job that can kill very fast, so Luminous is faster to train.
But then again, it will be your main, so I would personally go for fun. Mercedes is definitely squishier than Luminous.

@Chup: well with being able to toggle between finishing blow and bkb our dps is really high *cough* underrated *cough*
when you use battlerage your damage goes up 40% and focuses on a specific enemy meaning you could use really any attack like it were a boss specific attack.
With one of our hypers being teleport invincibility spamming it would make us impervious to the enemy's attacks...
They're definitely up there, but there better bossing classes
@jblz: Quick question though, are BaMs good at bossing?

@Chup: I'll be honest they're difficult to get into, repetitive jobs, low skill % that sort of thing... but when bkb comes around that turns the whole situation upside down
if funded equally, luminous wins with no doubt about it. most people who go for mercedes love the skill effects elegance and it looks pretty fun to play it. then again, luminous can be fun as well. it depends on your taste when it comes to gameplay

Haha, it's a coincidence, I tried battle mage before both of them, and I couldn't get myself to like its playstyle
Mercs have amazing potential, but require funding, although dex is the cheapest it would require quite a bit more to fund a merc than a lumi as lumis are already exremely powerful.
Personally I perfer battlemage though ;D
