FMSmoker of Scania - Untrustworthy

I've been meaning to make a thread about this ass-wipe "FMSmoker" for some time now, but I just now got around to it. I didnt see any threads on basil when i searched him, so I figured I should make one. Before I begin, I will say that this entire predicament could have been avoided if I went with my gut and made the right decision. I was well aware what I was risking, but did it anyway. Also I have no screenshots. I didnt have time to worry about that crap.

So I was selling a fafnir katara clean about 3 weeks ago and fmsmoker offers to make a trade with some items. I asked him to just describe them, but he kept on asking to skype him. Im not a fan of that b/c Ive read people can obtain ip address etc via skype. I asked him to send an email to some account I made on the spot just for him to send it to me. He sent jpegs of some items that weren't the ones he described and one executable file. I told him I wasnt going to open it, and he insisted that thats just how it saves. Asked him to send it again multiple times and it keeps on being the same executable file.

Eventually I was just like "f it." If it turns out bad, I'll just fix it real quick or something...maybe the exe file will pull up multiple jpegs or something I dunno. Obviously this was stupid, but knowing it was stupid, I ran it anyway. Of course it closes maple and starts wreaking havoc on my comp, and I have to fight with this asshole for the next hour to remain in control of my computer long enough to get antivirus updated (which should have already been updated, but again...I was being dumb). For some reason he was able to close my antivirus programs and chrome browser, run command promt, open widows etc. which was annoying. I had to keep killing several processes that were working against me. Noticed he was looking through my webcam and it irritated the hell out of me. 3 messages popped up on my computer saying "Your maplestory password has been changed." When I read those I realized I was safe. The intention of those messages were to make me panic and change the password, so he could use the keylogger that was in my comp to get the new password. This was a painfully obvious trick, and I was content waiting another 9 hrs after I was done securing the comp to change my password again and check my chars. Took my computer to my university's walk-in center the next day, and the guys there made short work of the remaining garbage.

Essentially, he put all of his garbage in my Appdata/roaming and appdata/local/temp folders, as well as in the maplestory folder itself. The first two are hidden of course which was only a minor annoyance. The clown replaced Gamelauncher with another program titled "GAMELAUNCHER" (all caps) and it was again a painfully obvious trick. Nexon was not in the program description. After running antivirus and deleting/reinstalling maple I was good to go. Everything on my computer remained secure, there were no casualties.

[b]tldr[/b] "FMSmoker" of Scania is extremely untrustworthy. Be careful when doing business with him. Keep all business within the game. Never give him your skype, never open anything received from him. Btw he is Chinese (not that it matters), or at least the name that he has registered on gmail is a Chinese name... I forget exactly what is was. I dont remember the login for that email anymore either lol. Just a heads up for those of you in scania.
