Hows maple been?

Been gone for about a year a now i think. Hows Maple been? More importantly, how's Scania been? I've been hearing NL's are pretty good now, so thats good to hear. Has the new level cap brought more people back to the game? do new godly equips keep coming out? Does Nexon have their whizz under control, or are there still duped items, and hacked items floating about? I mainly don't want to come back to this game because being a '06 player, i miss how things used to be (hate to be a nostalgia little kid), but i do like to stay updated with maple if i ever do decide to come back. Its nice to see people still enjoy this game after all this time. It's even nicer to see some OG people around town. Maple will always remain one #1 in my game list. Oh and what is this "Maplestory 2" will this be like a WoW/maplestory type thing?
Give me your honest opinion about Maplestory over the past year.
Thanks guys (if you know me please shoot me a message and say whats up)

@cloverdream

it's so good that i haven't signed on

regardless of this rare gigantic chair

or these 10 atk scrolls

or these worthless nx items

or this sporadic pointless misplaced 'zombie' event.

An infection is overrunning the known Maple World. The only safe spots are on the dozen or so vanarium monoliths.

[quote=fmonglobal]Game is virtually unrecognizable from 06. Nexon has killed off nearly every nostalgia feeling about this game (except maybe the login screen BGM).

A lot of new content, but most of it is poor/buggy/unfair. Population has greatly decreased from past years; you'll find 99.99% of players in Henesys, Leafre, Ardentmill or Free Market (FM Entrance is deserted too). No one goes exploring now, and you feel as though the old maps and quests are taking up a lot of unnecessary space (Maple is 5gb). Nexon try to lure players in with attendance events, hot days and 2x EXP events but it isn't making the game more fun.

The game is very pay2win. Paying players have an inhumane advantage over non-paying players. Even if non-playing players sacrifice all of their time to try and match the playing players, they never come close to reaching the damage of the playing players.

A lot of the content has also been geared towards damage and op bosses; the power creep is disturbing.

Here's MS2 gameplay...

For the most part, i knew that maple was pay2win. i also know the feeling of maple just being about dmg and training aswell being in the FM. so i see nothing has changed from big bang/chaos.. IMO those two patch's ruined it all for the OG players. That and potential system. thank you though!
