Maining Zero, what do I need to know?
I just got back to maple after a 6 month hiatus. I picked up zero and quite like it and I want to main it. What are some issues that I should be aware of if I want to main zero? It doesn't seem like a popular class

nice joke there
It kind of isn't? A lot of people would rather not deal with the combo system, DEFINITELY not the mirror world (which is required), and at the very best, only have fleeting interest in comparison to the recently buffed Adventurers. It's definitely less popular than Xenon, Kaiser, and Angelic Buster were, and only slightly more popular than other recent classes.
On topic-
If you can level to 170 you're given the rough equivalent of a Fafnir weapon for free. In-game potential resets up to Unique (save a hundred or so bucks) for their weapon only. Aside from that, Zero requires quite a bit of learning since it's almost 100% different from any other class in how they deal damage. You need to pay attention, and you need to think about the best course of action almost always. Aside from that, not much else to note...
EXCEPT. You're more or less restricted to the Mirror World till 180, which isn't difficult to reach, but is quite a bit of time to put in. Depends on how you like to play the game, it's a pretty different experience for Maple.
@zFlapJacksz: Dear god. Screw Basil for the red squiggly where it didn't belong. >.> I don't believe spelling goes under the same category as grammar, but correct me if I'm wrong.
@Cocola That's simply due to their dc problem as well as their "OP-ness". They have a bad reputation atm in popular training maps like HoH or WG during 2x since they can "steal" a map by disconnecting everyone. The "OP-ness" I think comes more from their fast leveling speed than their damage, which I feel is above average, but not "OP".

Clearly you don't understand English, much less make a gramatically correct sentence.
I meant unpopular as in "not well liked." It doesn't seem like everyone is all gung ho about the class
Using the "assist" feature (using Beta skills as Alpha and Alpha skills as Beta) leads to the highest dps. However, be careful for now when dealing damage through the use of "assist" when there are other people in your map because it almost always disconnects everyone on that map. You can potential and cube your weapon simply through the use of some mesos and WP (weapon points), so buying cubes is unnecessary, unless you're aiming for legendary potential. Some of Zero's skills require mastery books, but those books are essentially free as they can be bought using time coins from the Quartermaster in Zero's temple. I'll try to think of more if I'm not ninja'd.
Well if you're willing to put all your moneyz into it
Level to 170/180 then scroll your weapon with the RED Scrolls +8 atk from the store for 33 coins and buy some hammers & shield scrolls from CS
You should be aware that Zero is causing some d/c issues for others but that's getting fixed
Zero is good even w/o funding (imo) it has alot of passive % boss but it requires alot of control when bossing since they fly around the map and leaving them quite vulnerable in some boss maps e.g. Gollux at times
Also if you wanna main Zero teach it a profession (smiting/accessory crafting) and get the level 140 gold label recipes from the coin store craft them and bam you just go yourself a cheap alternative to empress
Merch get some % str accessories and go bossing get more money then get more damage and them OHKO bosses
What you need to know about Zeros? People hate you because you have the power to disconnect them at a training spot. They also have a unique weapon system where you can earn weapon points for cubing your weapons and also they upgrade every other 10 level 100 110 120 130 140 150 170 if i remember correctly.
if you gota main the zero you got to know what comes after which is 1 and before zero comes -1
WUTTT :o
You made me lose 20 IQ points just by reading something so stupid(albeit true).
Get a 2x Quest exp coupon(lasts 10 days), and do all your side quests while doing dungeons/story quests.
And for skills: put only 1 into the first skills, max passives first when you can, and max skills(or put to 10/20 then max after passives finished ) that can be
upgraded. For example, wind cutter, spin driver, giga crash, spin driver (which are the 4 combos i use)
you like it because you start off at 100. that's clear. easy to get to 180 another reason you obviously like it. if you wanna main it, buy full warrior tyrants, fafnir set, and SW accessorys, and gollux set. GL
I really like it. But if you want to get to 180 fast, I'd personally recommend getting the 2x quest exp coupon. It really makes a difference and makes playing through the story mode that much easier.
The one and only thing you need to know: NEVER attempt to chat with someone while training.
That's because everyone who made a Zero is a higher level than you and you don't see anyone near your training areas.
