Ipod/Iphone camera quality question
Hey, so I don't really know much about what is considered good and bad quality in cameras. I was wondering how good the quality is considered in the Ipod/Iphone camera. To be more specific the front camera. (if it even matters at all)

On my personal arbitrary scale, an iPhone 5 ranks at a 7.5/10, an iPod Touch 5th Gen ranks in at 4.5, and the iPod Touch 4th Gen ranks a 3.0. A 7 would be the HTC One camera, an 8 would be the Nexus 5 camera, and a 9-10 would be the cameras on the Lumia 1020 and Note 3 to give you some perspective.
Ah, I just read the part where you mentioned a front-facing camera. The only decent-performer by Apple would be the iPhone 5 line in that category, at that would rank in at a 6.5 or 7/10-ish. A 9 or 10 would probably be the Note 3 or HTC One's front-cameras.
iPhones have pretty good rear facing cameras as far as smart phone photography goes. My 4S takes comparable pictures outdoors to a point and shoot canon I bought in 2011. Given, the resolution is smaller.
Front facing is super grainy. Pretty much only good for facetime.
If you're worried about phone camera quality, get a Nokia Lumia 1020.
It will blow your mind
please, who cares about quality when you can take foolproof selfies with the front camera
The back of the iPhone 5S camera focuses pretty well in the back imo. The iPods are alright but not that bad
