Shoe Recommendations

Anyone know any brand recommendations. Also what exactly are oxfords for? I have been looking at them and they look pretty nice. I just want to wear for casual wear to school and places not looking for any Jordans.

Nike, Vans, Adidas. Gotta get me some Roshes...@cool123ter: Roshes are like, one of the perfect casual running shoes you can wear with anything. They're comfy, and if you get the right colourway, they'll just look great.

Oxfords and boat shoes are for your hipster costume on Halloween.
EDIT: some of these shoes are so ugly damn.
@cool123ter if you're not a hipster then why the hell buy oxfords?

they're for nerds and losers
Reason? I have a pair of tommy hilfiger boat shoes. I prefer to wear them since I can just slip them on. Also have a pair of cole haan oxfords.

@Caeg: Thanks but Chukka's seem a lot more expensive. I was looking at around $100 or less or as low as I can go but still quality so I think I will go for some oxfords if they can still be used for casual wear with jeans and a T.

I have this pair of oxfords that I got for around $35. you can wear them with jeans, chinos, or shorts, and they're appropriate for casual to business casual settings (assuming you're not wearing slacks).
got any brand recommendations i am assuming those are the ones I see people wearing they just loook stylish and I want them I was just gonna wear a T and jeans really but anything goes.
They're going to look like this. I worked at Nordstrom Mens shoes and the Timberland chucka sold like crazy because of looks and how comfortable they are. If you have the money to spend, I highly recommend those. If not, there are definitely other brands you can look for that will have cheaper alternatives.
It depends on what kind of oxfords you're looking at. Some are pretty casual and would be more for a button up and jeans. Others are more dressy and would need to be worn with some dress pants, a tie, etc. Sperrys can be casual but sometimes too casual. If you're looking for something casual but still somewhat dressy, I would go with a chucka. You can dress them up or dress them down as well.
The only reason you wouldn't get Sperry's would be if you didn't want every girl to jump on your lap.
