So, i am planning to buy a laptop
hi,
i am planning to buy a laptop for school work and stuff... but i am kind of clueless which laptops are good...
I can buy a mac or windows.
My dad has a hp laptop which is also old (like 6 years old) but its slows and overheats easily although i cleaned the fan recently.
So, if i buy a laptop what processors are good, what amount of ram should i look for, how much memory is good? etc.
I dont know any macs so, if there is any good ones, which are they?
thanks !

@PulseKnuckle: i have a desktop but i cant take it in school for obvious reason O.o
@gotshroomz51 : well, iam considering a mac bcuz there is an ongoing sale right now but if pc is better then just pc
and also, does windows have same processor like mac
get the 13 inch macbook pro. my sister has one and it's so nice. runs a lot better than my 2 year old HP and it has a quadcore
Pretty much any laptop with a 45nm or smaller mobility dual-core CPU and 2GB or more RAM will work. Go with integrated graphics for more battery life.
And the hard drive doesn't really matter: just get as much as you need. 250GB should be more than enough for school work if you don't do a lot of audio-visual stuff.
when it comes to school work, and just working, i have a feeling mac would be better... i really love my HP and windows set up, its perfect, but my friends mac can do some great school/work type of stuff. i say get a HP, but study both options.
If you're debating about mac v.s Windows basil isn't the place to ask for.
well if its for school work etc
i would suggest a mac
