Android Screen Keeps Dimming

Ok so I have an android phone that dims after 10 seconds of inactivity (which gets super annoying when trying to read something). I went to the settings and toyed with every single option to try to solve my problem. I changed my lock time to 30 min, but the screen still went dimmer after 10 seconds. My display is also NOT on auto brightness. I also went through the play store and searched online for apps that could solve this problem, but to no avail. So does anyone know of a free solution/app that can prevent my screen from dimming, or an app that can let me adjust the amount of time before the screen dims for Android? Thanks

@MrSharky: I don't have that much experience with phones, but it works pretty well for me (lol except for that screen dimming). It has a 13 megapixel camera in the back and, I think, a 5 megapixel one in the front. The phone has two SIM card slots, but they're both for Mini SIM, not micro SIM that most smartphone users have. The phone also looks really similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4. The S4 is probably a bit better than my phone, but since I bought this phone for around $300- original price- , whereas the S4 is like $700, I'm pretty satisfied.

Try messing around in the "Display" section of the Settings, if there is an option called Wise Screen, try turning that on. The only other thing that I could think of that makes your display dim in a short amount of time is that you have Power Saver on? If you do, turn that off.

Anyways, how is the phone quality wise? Is it on par, better, or worse than the S4?

@AlanNgyn93: My phone is from this kind of brand you've probably never heard of lol. It's called the Blu Life One (I saw it in a store for a good price considering the features it had that's on par with the Samsung Galaxy S4, so I decided to give it a try).

@Psychopathic: I tried that once and it didn't work out for me. I'll give it another try tho, thanks

screen timeout is what you are looking for
android dims darker to the lowest setting before timing out the screen
