@Cloudshadowv a few patches ago they changed arans playstyle by preventing them from comboing Overswing and Final blow (4th job attacks) that really work well together, later at lv 170 you get the 3rd part to the combo Beyond Blade so you would do OS + FB+BB = fancy damage. Now you can no longer combo OS + FB, Final blow can be used 2 ways now: 1) hot key use requiring 30 combos (15 after next patch) doing the most damage or 2) or simply the command Down+Down+Attack which does less damage. At 170 you can combo FB + BB which still dosnt do as much damage as Overswing atm ...... (but will out damage OS next patch)

I was actually thinking of making an Aran today...what exactly changed that makes it worse now?

I quit my aran and mained my bucc for this reason. I mean I mained both of them at the time it's just that I cared more about my Aran than my Bucc. Now that they ruined the combo chaining I was like "eh" for the first month then the second I was like "omg I really miss chaining stuff" then the 3rd month I was like "bucc blast so op omg".

there's nothing to "fix" since it's technically not "broken". it's now just different and I'm pretty sure most of us agree it's totally not as much fun... I especially hate how using command method is weaker, too >_> it's what made Arans unique and fun. Aran's no where near one of the best bossers anyways so why would someone choose to make a new Aran now?

@Kazzooey I KNOW ! that was my drive on my aran, when i learned about hypers and BB i was sooooo hyped for it but i never got past 143 since they broke our combing and ended up deleting the char since i didn't play it and it took up space.

Not that I'm aware of. I want to train my Aran but as soon as I play it I get depressed that I can't combo and the gameplay sucks, so I log off. Damn I REEAALLLYYY miss my old Aran gameplay.
