As a fairly funded player it took me a while to come to a decision about sw equips. Although I can afford a full ra set if I wanted to, I decided to go with 5 piece sw (4 piece + katara) because going RA would require a lot more mesos/cubing then I would currently like to pay for since I am also funding 4 other friends. I believe that if you are sure to stay a thief (db shad nl) on the same character this it isn't a horrible idea. I am planning to get sw hat glove overall and weapons since I currently already have a full tyrant set. The only concern I have with my current plan is that I do not know the strength transposed sw gloves with a bonus 48 atk and 75 all stat will compare to 2nd place dojo gloves, as currently dojo gloves add about 110k extra range compared to my empress

use SW if you cant afford tyrant/fafnir.
SW has a really nice set Effect for unfunded, though if you wanna go deep with SW, you gotta make sure theyre your endgame set, since you wont be able to trade them unlike fafnir/tyrant/gollux

it's easy getting 1 atk on all the pieces
just use gollux scrolls

If you can't afford Fafnir+Tyrant+Gollux, then it would be a good idea (especially if you managed to get 1 attack on each piece besides the gloves and use iCOGs+COGs to scroll them).

Only if you're not going to use Fafnir+Tyrant.
