Beast Tamer Skill Build Animal Comination Help

Hey guys! Recently got back into Maple and built the Beast Tamer! Super fun! Really getting back and enjoying Maple!

Just wondering a few questions though! If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated!
1. What's the best skill build/animal combination? I know Hawk is really useless and is just there for mobility and isn't supposed to be one of the animals that you max, it's normally between bear, leopard and cat. So which build is the best? Bear/Leopard or Bear/Cat or Leopard/Cat? People say Bear is for higher levels and Leopard is for lower levels. Why? I know Bear does more damage than Leopard but Leopard has mobility and better mobbing. Is that it? I guess that kinda means that Bear is better than Leopard? Just struggle in the lower levels but later on it's worth it?

2. For cat, the skills say "party members" so does it only apply to other people in the party but not yourself or does it work for you, even when your by yourself and not in a party?

3. Do the skills and stat increases and stuff (like some passive skills add Int and Magic Att etc) carry over when you're in an another animal mode or do you have to be in the corresponding animal to get the buff? Does this apply to Cat? Because I know Cat is mainly for buffs but like once you use all the buffs, if you go into another mode like Bear or Leopard, do the buffs still stay on or do they go away? If they do go away and don't work for you, is there really no point in Cat except for buffing up party members and then leeching for exp and levels? (I'm not much of a leecher and I like to make and build up my characters like as if they were my mains and not really like mules.)

4. If you collect the medals from maxing out an animal and then you SP reset and end up with no points in that animal, do you lose the medal or will the SP reset not work or something? If not, might collect all the medals for fun!

Backstory: I originally wanted to max Leopard and Bear because I thought that Hawk and Cat were useless. I read around that Hawk was for mobility and it wasn't that good and Cat was for mules and after reading that it was more mules and that the skills said "party members", I thought it worked on "other" party members not including myself. So I went to max Leopard and Bear but now after meeting people and doing more research, I find that Bear/Cat is the best build that everyone is using but I'm not too sure because some people are maxing Leopard and doing other builds so I'm not sure. I'm probably going to have to use Animal SP Reset Scroll if Bear/Cat really is the best build. I'm currently Level 128 with max Leopard and close to maxing Bear and I haven't used my six Animal SP Potions that give 3 SP each as well as my Animal Reset Scroll from the "A Guardians Blessing" Quests.

Thanks for the help guys! If you guys could explain your reasoning and stuff so I can better understand and educate myself on the game now that I'm back into it again, that would be great! Thanks!

I posted this on a BT skill build thread in the mage forums a few days ago, so might as well post it here

So, the two animals you should focus on most are Bear (Fort) and Cat (Arby). However, there are some skills I wouldn't recommend maxing for both trees.

For Bear, don't max deep breath, really deep breath, bear reborn, lil fort, and table flip. Furthermore, also leave Fort the Brave at 19 instead of 20.
The reasoning for these are quite simple: deep breath is replaced by the superior really deep breath which is used for its utility. Bear reborn still has a long cooldown when it's maxed so I wouldn't recommend maxing it. Lil fort is once again for utility mostly. Table flip has a pretty slow animation and your points would be better of elsewhere. These skills should all be at level 1. Fort the Brave should be left at 19 instead of 20 as it being Level 20 gives nothing. It's just a wasted point.

For Cat, don't max friend launch, friend launcher-enhance, purr-powered, meow heal, meow cure, fire kitty, cat wit (Optional), and cats cradle blitzkriegh.
Once again the reasoning is simple: friend launcher Is replaced with fire kitty, so there's no point maxing friend launcher-enhance, purr-powered gives little stance even when maxed so it's not worth your time, meow heal still heals a good amount at level 1, meow cure I don't use much and the small cooldown it has is.fine as there shouldn't be a time where you're spamming it for yourself or others, fire kitty is a good mobbing skill but.as cat isn't really meant for damage I wouldn't max it, cat wit is optional as it gives a nice boost to your damage but then again cat isn't meant for damage, and Finally cats cradle blitzkriegh is a meh skill.

Now you have tons of leftover sp, what do you do? You put them into hawk of course!
For Hawk I would recommend going up to razor beak and stopping. The two skills after that aren't needed at all.
The skills I would recommend maxing for hawk are sky walk, vertical draft, Eka express, Eka glider, regroup, birds eye view, raptor talons, and razor beak.
Sky walk is great mobility, same with vertical draft, Eka express is great utility for not only yourself but others too, Eka glider is the fastest mobile skill of all classes if used correctly, regroup is nice utility for your party members, and Finally birds eye view, raptor talons, and razor beak are all great buffs to transfer to bear.
These are the skills that are a must to max, however other skills In hawk might be maxed as well to meet the requirements of skill point usage to progress in the tree. With this most of your passives on hawk should be maxed and same with fly.

Now for the points in leopard it really just depends on how you used your points with the other animals. If you didn't max cat wit you'll have more sp to use.for leopard. If you have the leafre codex set you should have roughly 25 more sp to use for leopard, same with all skills nebulites and all skills IA (but idk why you would want all skills +1 ia when attack speed exists)
As you.can tell, the amount of points you have to use for leopard really depend. I would just recommend going as far as you can with leopard with nothing maxed (however some skills may be maxed due to the skill point requirement to progress through skills). If you did want a place to stop I'd say stop at macho incarnate. But like I said before you may or may not reach there.

Well there you go
Sorry for the wall of text but I just wanted to go more in-depth about the skill build.
I'm a Beast Tamer who uses all animals to an extent because I know this is how they were meant to be played
If you want a rough idea for when I use each animal: cat is for support, bear is for mobbing and bossing, hawk is when I'm travelling or when I need get to a really high platform, and for her buffs, and leopard is for those times where mobile mobbing is better ( ex: the two stages before Hilla, the stage before the ra bosses, MP3, etc.)

As for your other questions....
1. Cat mode buffs work on you too.
2. Passives only work in said animal however buffs such as meow card can be transferred.
3. Medals still stay even when you reset.
