I had extremely high hopes for this movie, but I personally wasn't overwhelmed by it. The scenes where they would be discussing theoretical physics and explaining different theories made me cringe at how cliche they were. The wormhole analogy of folding the piece of paper and when the black guy talks about black holes "the gravity is so intense not even light can escape it". These cliches have been around forever and I was honestly expecting more in-depth analysis of some of the most current scientific theories such as quantum gravity etc... But I can understand how they had to dumb down the explanations so that the lay person would understand.

The only thing I found great about the movie were the visuals, traveling through the gravitational lensing depicted by the wormhole and the portrayal of passing the event horizon of a blackhole were unprecedented in movie history. Just phenomenal. All the space scenes were outstanding.

I wasn't overly impressed with the plot. I didn't like how the whole movie seemingly revolved around the father-daughter relationship, it was boring and melodramatic to me.

It was definitely a great movie and it gets major points for originality, but I liked Edge of Tomorrow and Dawn of The Planet of The Apes better.

I was expecting Interstellar to be a 10/10, but I'll have to give it an 8/10.

not as a boring as gravity but it was a lot longer so it felt that way. this movie at least had more than 2 characters and the whole movie wasn't in space like gravity. but if you hated gravity like me you would probably hate this movie too
Your psyche and understanding probably aren't on par with the minimum requirements to emotionally enjoy Interstellar.

Action? You're worried about the underwhelming action that was in Interstellar? The movie that broke some people up, caused others to cry, made us sit in dead awe during spinning scenes, made our ears eargasm from Zimmer's OST, gave us a visual glimpse at the unexplored majesty of a black hole's event horizon, humored us, made us think a little harder, hold our breaths longer and tried to show us the immense consequences of time's relativity?

The movie was brilliant.
i expected it be like a christopher nolan movie normally is... exciting.
like inception, the dark knight series, the prestige.
interstellar was so boring, i wanted to fall asleep.
i waited almost 3 hours for something exciting to happen. the planets they landed on were all water and all ice respectively... seriously? thats it? the bookcase scene was alright but that was about it.
I am not sure if there is some inside joke going on here. Is the interstellar actually that great to be praised by so many people? or is everyone just mocking it by saying it's the greatest movie?
No, its a great movie, just something people who don't have attention spans or are too emotionally immature can't enjoy.

The start was a bit slow-paced, but by the end, you can tell that every part of the 3hr film was necessary and tied in with each other. It's a film that actually makes you think, and I personally thought it was an amazing film, though I wouldn't expect anything less from Chris Nolan

I couldn't disagree more. I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Almost teared up at a lot of parts. Great theater movie, probably terrible on the small screen.
