Weirdly enough, the parasite Migi is being voiced by Aya Hirano.
This is definitely a departure from the source in terms of design, but honestly it is really growing on me. Had some initial disappointment bc it really feels like compromising artistic integrity/accuracy just for mass appeal, but the designs still look good. Kind of evokes 2000's Gainax and Birdy Decode, and I can see tells and expressions in the char sheets that correspond to the manga.
So obv I'm still hype, what does the rest of /90/ think?

Yes, I want to watch it.
I'm fine with the looks of the animation. Not quite what I was expecting, but it'll work I think.
Hopefully this will be uncensored. I really do not like having to wait for BDs.
I'm hyped. Knowing nothing about the manga is probably a good thing for me, since whenever I'm familiar with source material, I tend to be overly critical of the adaptation. This looking genuinely creepy is also a plus.
parasyte is on my to-read list, so I'm not sure if I should do that or watch this. But yeah, I'm all for more quality shows.
Haven't read the manga before so I have no opinion.
OT: Migi is an interesting right hand.
