Which comp is better?

Hey guys so my friend told me to recommend strictly pre built computers he could use for gaming and what not for less than $1500. Between the two, listed below, which computer would you buy for the longest lasting computer.
Acer Predator G
HP Envy Phoenix
I found these two that I thought would last him a good while but if you guys have some good recommendations under $1500 and will last ~5 years, feel free to list them below.
EDIT: Assume he'll be playing games like Crysis and Battlefield 4.

PS: How long do you think the GTX 770 will be able to play games on 1080p on at least medium at 30+ fps.

Thank you guys so much.
go get it from ibuypower. with a $1500 budget get an i5 and 780 easy
The thing is, I read reviews where they didn't put it together properly or they gave bad parts.

@xipwnux99: Yeah, I just wish origins website would load for me faster.

@demonicrack: IBuyPower does have warranties, yes. Origin has some good computers of course you just need to customize them especially to get as much performance for your money.

@xipwnux99: As far as I'm aware, IBuyPower has warranty, right? Anyway, Origin seems to be the company for a computer that will definitely last and has a good track record.

@demonicrack: Good luck. I never seemed to find anything worth the price on either of those sites, but I also only looked a few months ago. I doubt anything changed, but its always good to be hopeful.

@xipwnux99: Hm. Thanks. I'll try looking at origin (if their stupid website would load) and ibuypower and see if I can do something there.

@demonicrack: Yes, it can definitely run Planetside 2 no problem, not too sure about max, but it probably can handle it at least on high at 60 FPS.

Rakuten is an INCREDIBLY fishy chinese site and you should highly avoid it. Not to mention how much you are overpaying for it.

@demonicrack: I haven't had any good experiences with them (laptops anyway). None I've used have lasted more than 8 months without some sort of hardware issue. Same thing goes for friends with laptops.
Not sure if their desktop computers are any more reliable.

How long do you think the gpu and cpu will last?
Do not go for that HP you're going to need to upgrade the GPU anyway if you want decent performance. The CPU bottleneck shouldn't be too bad until its been at least 3-4 years. Processors tend to last longer than GPUs, and since this is a 4770K its a modern processor, it should be able to hold its own.
I guess you could go for it since the HP since it has those upgrades but I've found HPs have a lot of bloatware that you need to get rid of. The Acer I owned had..... slightly less so.
In my computer I run:
AMD Radeon HD 7870
Intel Core i7 2600K
8GB DDR3 1366 Mhz RAM
Inland 650W PSU
1TB 5400 RPM Toshiba HDD
And these run most games perfectly fine for 1080p. I can't seem to find the PSU for the Acer, but the HP has a 500W, so that should be fine, so long as he doesn't overclock. He would need more power for that.
Yeah the Acer I know has 500w also. But I'm sure the computer can run everything right? Even planetside 2?
Crysis 3 and BF4 I'm not sure, you have to look up benchmarks for those. I have a worse card than the Acer and I run most games at 1080p ultra settings at playable framerates, if its not playable on ultra I just go down to high or disable anti-aliasing. The Acer should be fine, the HP is no longer available so I can't comment on it.

Lasting 5 years and still being able to play new games on ultra with this same hardware is pretty much impossible. If he kept the playing the same games or upgrades the GPU he should be able to manage.
Yeah I think he said he'd be willing to at least change his gpu, but I'm scared that the cpu may become bottleneck eventually.

The HP has the option to upgrade to a gtx 770.
If I may ask, what parts do you have in your computer?

So should I just get a digital storm/Acer? Or do you have something else to recommend?
oh, does dis dood have a monitor already? i edited above^
Yeah he does. But I think he wanted to go dual. He said until he knows for sure he can fix any issue that may arise with the computer, he wants a prebuilt. So I guess I'll give him recommend the digital storm or hp.
i, idk wut to say, even individual pc parts have, like, manufacturer warranties.

that acer predator charges hundreds for that PC warranty.

the digital strom vanquish has a free 4 yr warranty. maybe the warranty makes it more appealing?
It's more like he's afraid he won't be able to fix his computer if something happens. Meaning he doesn't think he can diagnose issues. And I think don't think he would buy the acer warranty. Just tech support.
He's a more, take out, plug it in, and it works sort of guy.

EDIT: OMG dood, i jus noticed, this pc build has a monitor, keyboard, mouse , same or even better performance, individual part warranties, and its, like, 300 smackaroos cheaper.

your friend...
idk, he wants some warranty provider?
Yeah he wants to make sure he can go to someone as soon as there's an issue. He isn't tech savvy so I guess that's his fear. I think he wanted a major brand so I tried that.

@powerguy121 I don't know. I told him the same thing but he refuses. I think because he's afraid that he won't have support if something goes wrong or he's afraid he'll break it when he building it. I just can't convince him so...

Why buy pre built gaming PCs? you'll probably save yourself 20~35% if you buy parts and build it yourself. It may seem intimidating, but I just built my own computer yesterday and I saved 200-300 dollars. It's not hard! how-to

@Anthorix Yeah I've seen digital storm. The only reason why I don't want to recommend them is because they have an insecure track record. meaning they have both really good and bad reviews.
