I just came back after ~5 yrs, was lvl 173 and 40%. I lvled 60% at lvl 173 in about 6 hours without a 2x card. Holy crap.

For what purpose?
It is indeed much easier now to level up to 200 compared to in the past. Getting to level 100 at that time reallly took much longer.
My friend came back in September 2013, she was like level 12x. She doesn't spend many hours on this game only a few hours before she goes to sleep. All she did was do PQs with people. When I saw she was playing I decided to join her with the PQs and I even took her to kill some bosses and we were having fun. It doesn't even feel like grinding like it used to be. (the grinding part is still there, especially at the higher levels)
At end of October she is like level 168 now. You couldn't do that back then in the same amount of time she has spent in the past 2 months, it would take a lot more time to get to level 100.

Well previously, 10% in 4 hours with a 2x card and 2x time would be the norm.
@DarkPieLord: Easy indeed, and I mean that getting to 100 back then wasnt actually hard either. You just had to grind, which most kids hated and quit around lv 50 ish instead.

Getting to 100 back then is not as hard as getting to 200 today. Level 100 was not that hard to reach.

Getting to lvl 70 back then was like getting to lvl 160 now
