Hp or Samsung

I can't decide over an HP Laptop or a Samsung Laptop. I know that Samsung is relatively newer, and most people would rather buy HP, but anyone have any opinions? Feel free to share them with me.
Also, Which is better in your guys opinion? Intel or AMD?

Laptops I'm looking at: Which one would you say would be the "best" overall. I'm not looking for anything gaming much, but durability is also a factor.
I don't know why you think people would buy HP.

Hewlett Packard has below average customer service on all of their laptops. For their newer models, it's impossible to order parts for repair. If you don't have the warranty, you're pretty much f___d and need to wait a couple of years before being able to repair it.

Not to mention; their performance models [newer pavilions] have known motherboard issues.

Sony had a good streak. HP.. not so much.
hmm it seems most people i've asked said hp isn't good. do you an opinion on samsung?
HP are crap; don't get one. I've never had a Samsung computer but they seem pretty reliable.

Personally, I own a Toshiba laptop and I've had no problems with it over the past 3 years (minus a virus, but that's not the laptop's fault). I see you're looking around a $600-700 price range. I'd suggest checking out this laptop. Like I said, this is just my recommendation coming from my experience. The decision is yours.
Thank you for your opinion. Can you state why you think HP is crap? I would like to know why.
Also, I'm typically looking for some of the, i would say "bigger" name brands (e.g hp, samsung, etc). I know toshiba is well known, but i'm not that interested in toshibas.
I didn't see that model at the best buy i go to . Also, I'm looking for a 15.6"
