Corsair vs Mech?

Its not a which class thread so don't worry. I am not really interested in mechs. Im just not interested in the robot thing. Anyways my question is which one has better 1 vs 1 dpm? I would prefer a dpm chart thats post big bang, or chaos which ever. Also are mechs really going to be nerfed during chaos?
Mech's laser has such incredible range it's not even funny. But in terms of fun-ness i'd go with sair because im 137 and im already tired of just spamming missle and laser, and with stance i can just stand still the whole time too lol it gets boring alot....

but now since in chaos sair's ship no longer breaks im also guessing sairs will get boring too in the same way that they'll just sit in that ship spammin canon.
once your like 15x it gets much more than just spamming missletank and laser, bots n tots come into play and you have amplifier as well. im very tactical when playing mech, jumping around and placing portals to make traveling to plats faster. placing bots n tots and having them take like 50% of the hp when i get to the mobs. so yeh it gets much more intense

if you're talking about just regular siege mode vs sair's cannon than i believe sair has the higher dpm, however once we activate the little tank of hell (seige mode), then hands down mechs.

also easy to test or just visually test.

caste golem map, one sair and mech equally funded. have both aim for there own golem and kill at the same time. which one will kill first?

Mech beats corsair, easily. 100 % stance + amazing DPM > corsair.

With a unfunded Mech you can hit 60k in about half a second. 60 x 2 = 120k x 10 seconds = 1.2m damage in 5 seconds.

EDIT: at lv. 120 with siege.

On paper and theoretically, corsairs are believed to dish out the highest DPM.
Realistically, however, mechanics are superior to corsairs in almost every way possible.

Think is sair>mech on paper, but mech>sair in bossing because of stance and whatnot

I believe corsairs are higher in terms of 1v1 DPM, main factor being that mechs only reach their peak DPM during the 5 out of 15 seconds of siege and corsairs have plenty of damage boosting skills, though mechs pretty much surpass them in every other field. Though chaos patch majorly buffs corsairs due to the removal of battleship durability and gives mechs a minor nerf in damage.

Post-chaos changes to mechs:

Mechanic (1st Job)

- The weapon and magic defense of Metal Armor: Prototype has been decreased from 400 to 200
- Damage of Drill Rush has been decreased from 180% to 150% and the amount of monsters Drill Rush can attack has been increased from 10 to 15

Mechanic (2nd Job)

- Atomic Hammer now ignores 20% of the monster's defense instead of 30%
- Damage of Rocket Booster has been decreased from 360% to 160%
- The chance of guarding a monster's attack of Perfect Armor has been decreased from 30% to 20%

Mechanic (3rd Job)

- Damage of Satellite has been increased from 160% to 210%
- Damage of Magnetic Field has been decreased from 250% to 200%, the skill duration has been increased from 30 to 60 seconds and the cooldown time has been increased from 30 to 180 seconds
- Accelerator: EX-7 now reduces the monster's defense by 15% instead of 30%
- The skill duration of Healing Robot: H-LX has been decreased from 40 to 30 seconds. The maxHP recovery rate has been increased from 25% to 50% and the cooldown time has been decreased from 45 to 35 seconds
- Damage of Rocket Punch has been decreased from 570% to 540%

Mechanic (4th Job)

- The weapon attack from Metal Armor Extreme has been decreased from 50 to 40
- The regular attack of Metal Armor: Missile Tank has been decreased from 110% to 100%. The amount of MP you lose per 5 seconds has been decreased from 100 to 25 and the critical rate has been decreased from 30% to 20%
- The skill duration of Robo Factory: RM1 has been decreased from 45 to 40 seconds. The cooldown time has been increased from 40 to 60 seconds
- Damage of Laser Blast has been decreased from 400% to 360%
- Damage of Metal Armor: Heavy Machine Gun (Missile Tank mode) has been decreased from 100% to 95%

Doesn't render the class unplayable, as some mistakenly believe. Greatly reduces KSing ability during the early jobs due to the increased cooldowns on drill rush, atomic hammer, and that electric field skill. Endgame remains intact and unchanged except for maybe a 10% nerf in terms of overall damage.
