Well, well, well, So here we are again, a time where a community must unite.

So, quite a long time ago, I made a video showing how Shadowers were LONG ago, before any bigbang jibby jabby, any of the potential spoonfeeding and before the Skill revamp that happened around 1 year ago.

And after this particular event, I did say I was going to make a video about our present. But I became a lazy bum and eventually quit the game 11 months ago or so.

So it came to my attention since I am giving a couple of (insert your word at mind here) about the game right now, to finally make it.

If I do make it, who would be willing to send in clips for the Gloriousness of our class?

[b]HOW TO RECORD AND SUBMIT VIDEOS[/b]

Program: FRAPS

Here, go to the Movies tab, you will see a couple of settings here.

On the first part, you will see where to save your movies, place it wherever you want.

Video capture hotkey, this key by default, is F9, this is what STARTS or STOPS the video recording.

Sound Capture Settings, just tick the mark that says "Record Win7 Sound" & Stereo. Don't record external Input. (if you don't record sound, the video is cut by 40% of its size so you can do that.)

To record, you will select, 30 FPS, this is the speed of the computer, Maple story depending on the computer and your video card, runs between 30 up to 60 FPS(caped).
But there is no difference 30-60, so just record at 30.

On the right side, it says, FULL SIZE - HALF SIZE, this is to select the size of the video, since we all play maple on window 1024/768, leave it on FULL SIZE, even if you play in full window, because if you select HALF SIZE, instead of recording at 1024/768 it will record the video at 512 x 384. So select FULL.

Now, go to your maple, with the F12 key, you can move the FPS overlay to each corner of the screen every time you press it, press it 5 times, it will disappear from the screen, press it again, it will show on the top left corner again, the counter doesn't show on the final video, so its good to keep it visible, it [b]TURNS RED[/b] when you record. This is useful to know if you are actually recording anything.

[b] Submit your videos [/b]

There are several ways you can send me the videos.

1. If the video is too big, you can do the following.

Open After Effects.
Drag every video to the left box that is labeled as PROJECT.
Once the videos are there, select the first one, right click on it, and Create a New composition using the selected item settings.

Once you do that, dependng on how many clips you have, right click the composition you just made in the project manager, & select, Composition Settings. Change the length time to like 4-5 minutes, depending on how many clips you have, or if they are longer, just long enough to fit em all one after another.
(if its too complicated, just export 1 at a time)

Once you are ready, do CTRL+ M to send the thing to render, alternately, go to Composition > add to render queue.

A new tab will open, here, it says, Render Settings, Output Module and Output To:

In Render settings, leave it at Best Settings.
Output Module, click Lossless.

A new window will open, here it says FORMAT: AVI, click on that and select H.264 and hit OK.

Next, Output to: here click the thing and it will ask you for a name of the file and where to save, save wherever.

Once done, hit the button slightly to the right, that says Render, and wait for it to finish.

2. Method 2.

Using Adobe Premiere.

Create a new Project (whatever settings leave the defaults just hit OK)

If CS6( Go to window > Workspace > CS5.5)

On the left side, its the project tab, drag your videos here.

Once they are in, dag them to the Timeline below, here you can palce em one after another easier than AE.

Once you drag the first clip, it will ask you the following, "This clip does not match the sequence settings, change the sequence to match the video?", Hit yes.

Once you're done, go to File > Export > Media.

A window will pop up, in Format, select H.264, in Preset it should have already a similar output to 1024/768 or the old maple resolution which I forgot what it was, 800 by something, if not, select For android tablets 720p.

After that, in Output name, select where to save and the name of the file, and hit Export at the bottom.

That's it you're done.

3. Method 3, leave the thing as it is.

[b]Submit your Clips to Me[/b]

This is the easiest thing to do and there are several ways.

Submit the thing as UNLISTED to youtube, and send me the link via PM on basil.
- Make an account if you don't have one yet.
- Click the big button that says Upload to the right of the search bar.
- Select your video
- While uploading, to the right, there is a drop down list that says Public/Unlisted/Private, select Unlisted.

Once up, send me the link.

- Upload your clips there, they should fit.
- Copy public link and send them to me via PM on basil.

[b]NOTE[/b]

I hate mac so I don't know about iMovie, Windows Movie Maker is an unprofessional crappy software that I have no interest in, so I don't know if you have the same quality exporting, or even if it allows h.264 on it, as far as I know all it does is wmv. If you really, REALLY have no option, do it on those programs but you are on your own.
