Is it just me or is blade furys sounds effect too loud?

it is possible to edit the sound.wz file to remove or edit that sound effect but doing so is against the ToS so I can't recommend doing so.

I'm pretty sure that day has been long gone. GMS doesn't get, "exact patches". Certain things get modified which can leave parts out. I did a bit of research and it was suppose to come out during the first part of RED, which was December 17th, 2013.
We're in the late 2015, so that wouldn't make any sense.

There's this fancy little button on the bottom right of your screen. It looks like a small speaker button. Press it once and a cancellation symbol appears.

omg! I have this problem too! If I lower all my sounds, the only thing I can hear is the blade fury's skill and none of the other sounds. If I have sound on normal so I can hear other effects (like jumping) then it is abnormally loud... I thought it was just me...
They never changed the sound for Blade Fury from when DB's had the original Sudden Raid, which was loud. But SR isn't spammable like Fury is so the sound effect just rolls into the next one over and over and over again.
@dtpride29 No other solution other than disabling it or putting it on lowest settings but you already have done it. And lower your speaker volume more...can't do more than that.
It's indeed very loud. As if there are Boom-Boom Speakers attached on your weapons
No, this skill is abnormally loud. I literally have the lowest sfx and its blowing up my speakers. Other skills are fine.
